GP Kranj
Hello and welcome to another race day. Today we are in Kranj.
This hilly race should be a good fit for Reichenbach. But we'll have to see how well he does today. But with his new Swiss Champion jersey I bet he's eager to bring home another victory.
Speaking of his new jersey, here's a first glimpse:

But let's get to todays race now:
The peloton didn't wanted to let a breakaway go today, as they chased hard. after a few tries just two riders managed to get ahead.
50 km to go: The peloton starts to increase their speed in order to catch up with the two breakaways. They are just 3 minutes ahead and with the two big climbs coming up it's not looking good for them.
30 km to go: First climb. The peloton just increased the speed once more. Tissot is well placed up front. Let's hope they can keep up with that high pace.
15 km to go: The peloton is now at the bottom of this final climb. The pace is high, and many riders can't keep up with that high pace. Reichenbach is still placed well in front and he's got 3 teammates with him. Looking good so far.
12 km left: attack from the pack! 3 riders get ahead. Reichenbach tryes to catch up and ends up in a chasing group of 5 riders. Can they reconnect with the 3 riders up front? Maybe in the long downhill...

5 km left: It's now 4 riders up front. The group with Reichenbach is still chasing with just 17 seconds behind.
2 km to the line: The group with Reichenbach can't catch up. So he has to settle for 7th place.

Giro della Valle d'Aosta - Stage 1
Hello and welcome to Italy. Todays mountainious stage is going to be a great start for this tour. Who will be victorious today? Let's find out.
Todays race was high paced. The peloton rode fast and hard, making it difficult for many riders to keep up the pace.
35 km to go: Time for the final climb. Reichenbach and Keller were still positioned well. But could Keller keep up the pace on this final climb? Or would the sprinters be distanced on the final climb of the day?
25 km left: The peloton reaches the top of the climb. Keller is hurting bad, and is behind in the peloton, he couldn't keep up front with that pace.

20 km to go: Keller managed to get back in the downhill, but he must've lost a lot of energy on that climb today. Nonetheless he's going to position himself in the Tissot train.
8 km left: Tissot has positioned themselves well with their train, and it looks like Keller is really going to sprint today.
3 km to the line: Gross starts his sprint for Keller, they are in a very good position. Everything is looking great. Reichenbach is on Kellers wheel to secure his position.

1 km left: Keller is dead already. He tryes to sprint, but his legs just give in. He'll have to try another day...

Giro della Valle d'Aosta - Stage 2
Day 2 of the Tour trough the Aosta valley. Todays mountain stage will certainly not be easy. But how will the guys from Tissot do today?
100 km to go: The peloton is not joking around today, as they set up a high pace right from the start. with 100 km to go and the first and smallest of the tree mountains done the peloton already got split into half. Looks like it's going to be survival of the fittest today...
75 km to go: The peloton took the second mountain a lot slower, as they seemed to keep their stenght for the final and biggest climb of the day.
50 km to go: The final mountain of the day: Reichenbach manages to slip away with Fumeaux at his side. They now try to expand their lead over the peloton, and who knows they might be able to finish ahead of the peloton?

40 km to go: Reichenbach reachest the first breakaway group alone. Fumeaux had to let go and is back in the chasing group together with Schelling. The breakaway has just 30 second to the chasing group. So Reichenbach descies to wait for the chasing group to catch up with them.
30 km to go: The leading group with Reichenbach reached the final summit. It's downhill now...
10 km left: Still in the downhill Reichenbach gets a little ahead of the group. But it seems that he's not forcing the pace yet...

5 km left: Nearly at the bottom of the climb the group catches up to Reichenbach. The finish is going to be uphill, so what strenght has Reichenbach left for that final sprint?
Final km: Fumeaux once again makes the pace for Reichenbach. It's the final sprint now...
300 meters left, Reichenbach launches his sprint... but he's too late!
Reichenbach loses on the line, as he seems to have gambled just a little too much...

Yes, it's called "Fruit Doping", in which riders eats figs and pears, and come to races high on natural sugars.
Spoiler And then they crash.

Giro della Valle d'Aosta - Stage 3
Day 3 of the tour. Today it was revenge for Tissot. Reichenbach did not like being overtaken by an entire team just in front of the finish line, so we can be sure he'll fight fiercly today.
With todays uphill finish it would certainly fit Reichenbach, but let's see how he does today.
The first half of the race was a slight downhill and the peloton seemed to enjoy the ride, since they didn't ride too fast. A breakaway that formed made up a lot of ground, gaining 8 minutes on the peloton. But with todays mountains the peloton was not too concerned about their lead.
60 km to go: Finally the stage started to heat up a bit as the riders reached the bottom of the first climb.
45 km: halfway on the first climb the pace is not too high, however many riders already struggle to keep up with the peloton and begin to fall off.
30 km to go: Reichenbach took a little advantage in the downhill, but he's not forcing it just yet. The peloton made up a lot of ground in the downhill, now chasing by just 3 minutes. They should catch them no problem.

20 km left: The peloton almost caought up with the breakaway. They try their best to make it to the mountian sprint. Meanwhile the peloton got shattered by the harsh climb, just leaving 27 riders up front. Some might manage to get back in the downhill, but they will most likely be dropped again when it comes to the final climb of the day.
12 km left: the final climb. 28 riders are still in it. Reichenbach is one of them and he is in the front of the pack.
10 km left: On the steepest part Reichenbach loses his last team mate Schelling. He's still looking good tho.
Attack by the leaders now! Pelizotti (AND) is up front and the others try to catch up to him. But he seems gone. Reichenbach sits back and watches.

6 km left: The attacks come one by one. Reichenbach follows attentively, but nobody manages to get away from the bunch. Slowly but steadily they manage to close in on Pelizotti (AND) tho.
4 km left. Reichenbach pulls ahead. The pack don't semm to have any stength left to follow him. Once he sees that, Reichenbach puts in an extra gear.
2 km left: The slope gets less steep now and the group catch up to Reichenbach again. But just as they reach him he launches his final attack.

But that was way too far out. Reichenbach cracks and he gets overtaken by the entire group. What a bad finish by Reichenbach today.
Once more Androni completely demolishing the competition!

Giro della Valle d'Aosta - Stage 4
Todays flat stage is a transition stage and will be for the sprinters. So there most likely will not be too much action today.
It was a very quiet day today. The breakaway never got too far ahead and the peloton was riding at a reasonable pace...
20 km to the finish line: Looks like it's going to be a mass sprint. Tissot will be putting Keller in the sprint today, let's see if he can get a good result for the team.
8 km left: Looks like Tissot won't be sprinting today. Keller must be spent already... What a disapointment.

Giro della Valle d'Aosta - Stage 5
Fifth day in Aosta and back to high altitude peaks. Todays final climb will be a long and grueling one. We'll see how many riders will be able to finish up front today.
90 km to go: The early morning breakaway had an advance of over 15 minutes, but there was no doubt in the peloton that they would not make it up those 3 grueling mountains.
57 km left: The peloton reached the first summit (HC), now it's all downhill and back up again. The breakaway still has a comfortable lead of 14 minutes. The peloton will have to make up some time soon if they ant to catch them...
50 km to the finish: In the downhill the peloton got split into two. Tissot only lost Schönwetter, but he was already at his limit. It's up the second mountain now...
40 km to go: Androni is pushing the tempo now. That pace is much too high for many riders falling off the back. Reichenbach is up front there, showing Androni that he's not in any kind of trouble what so ever.

30 km left: The peloton reached the second peak. Now it's off to a downhill and up the final climb to the finish line. The peloton demolished the lead of the breakaway, now only a little over 6 minutes ahead.
15 km to go: The final climb. Pelizotti (AND) and Rabottini (VIN) attack. Reichenbach fails to catch their wheel and is left chasing.
6 km to the finish: Reichenbach is in a chasing group of 5, they are 1 min behind Pelizotti (AND), looks like they are gone.
3 km left: There are still some riders from the breakaway up front. Meanwhile the final attacks come form the group with Reichenbach. He looks like he's just barely holding on, but his opponents don't look too good either... Reichenbach, completely powered out, reaches the finish line as 10th. A hard earned 10th place.

With the transfer season in full swing it looks like Tissot is going to well expand their roster for the upcoming season. Many young swiss cyclist have been reported in and out of their Headquater in Zürich.

There are also rumours going around that Tissot has found a co sponsor for 2014 that made it possible to expand the team.
Their set goal of becoming a Pro Continental team next season is looking good. So far they're on track to make the cut.
We will have to see wheter those rumours about a possible co sonsor are true or not.
