Today is the first stage of this year's Tour. It is over 200 km long and pan flat. With no Andre, the team has switched its focus from green to yellow. Instead of an 8 man lead-out there is a 5 man lead-out for me. Lets hope for a top 5.
The Race
Five men got away after about 50 kms. Our very own Kenny Dehaes was one of them along with: Zabriskie (Garmin), Westra (Vaconsoeil), Gaudin (Europcar), and Feillu (Sojasun).
With 20 km to go they still have a 1 min gap to the Omega-Pharma-Quickstep led peloton.
With 12 km to go Dehaes is brought back and only Zabriskie is still out in front. Lars Bak is on the front in his Denmark champion's jersey.
With 10 km to go the gap is 10 sec and the catch will happen any moment.
With 7.5 km to go Zabriskie is caught by the flying peloton.
5 km to go and Adam Hansen is going way faster than anyone else in the peloton.
With 3 km to go Hansen pulls off. Great job from him today and he has put me and Jurgen in the perfect position ahead of Boonen and Cavendish.
With 1 km to go Jurgen has delivered me into the perfect position ahead of Cavendish. Everyone else is way behind.
300 m left and I'm going slower than Cavendish but has he run out room to get by?
Today the Tour enters the hills with two cat 2 climbs. However, they are summited 85 km from the finish so I may be able to chase back on after getting dropped. We want to keep yellow.
The Race
Seven men got away shortly before the sprint point. They are: Barguil (Argos), Jeandosboz (Sojasun), Leverlet (Lampre), Castroviejo (Moviestar), Pinotti (BMC), and Sarmiento (Cannondale).
Here is me in yellow as Adam Hansen and Kenny Dehaes lead the peloton.
After struggling over the first two climbs I was left behind by the pace of Team Sky. It was only 500 m to the summit though, and thanks Marcel Sieberg I got back on after 15 km of chasing.
With 20 km to go the gap is 50 sec and Saxo and Sky are content to do the pacemaking.
With 13 km to go and 1 km left on the final climb the break is caught.
On the descent four men attack Costa, Betanceur, Chavenal, and Fredrigo.
The leaders are brought back by my train with Bak ahead of Sieberg and Roelandts.
With 2 km to go Roelandts is running out of steam and Breschel is in the perfect position. No Sagan as he crashed with 10 km to go.
With 1 km to go I'm flying away to another win, and Jurgen looks like he has stopped.
I take win number 2! To win a stage in the Tour was amazing! To wear yellow was all I could dream of. But to win in the Malliot Jaune!! YES!
Ian: Retire at the top of the world is the best way to go out of the sport.
Selwink: No sprinters were left most were dropped, too tired to sprint, or crashed like Sagan.
Today's stage is too hard for me to contest the sprint if i can get over hills, today's stage is focused on Jurgen Van Den Broeck.
The Race
A six man group got away from the gun. There were some big names: Serry (Omega), Pozzovivo (AG2R), Weening (Orica), Rojas (Movistar), Simon (Sojasun), and Coppel (Cofidis).
With 20 km to go Frank Schleck and Fredrigo are crossing the 2 min gap to the breakaway.
With 2.5 km to go on the last climb I'm at the back of the group and shortly after I drop off the back. No time to chase back on today. Oh, well it was a great 3 days for me in Corsica.
With 10 km to go its Rojas, Weeing, and Serry at the front with a 30 sec advantage.
With 6 km to go the trio are caught, but immediately after the catch Thomas Voeckler goes on the attack. He knows that if he finishes in the top 5 he will take the yellow jersey tomorrow.
With 2 km to go the bunch is coming and Cadel is doing a massive turn and Voeckler is out of gas.
With 500 m to go its over for Voeckler as Gasporotto is flys by in the middle.
At the finish its Gasporotto who takes it! Edging Froome by less than a wheel! Costa takes third with Voeckler taking fourth and the Yellow Jersey.

Yesterday's white jersey wearer and u25 favorite Carlos Betanceur was the first rider to abandon the tour.
Selwink: Yes Vanmarcke is in white, the best MO stat left in the u23 race that hasn't lost 10+ min is Izagirre at 72. Terrible White jersey competition.
Another day flat day with some hills at the end. Hopefully I can get another great finishing position.
The Race
There was a four man break that got away after about 10 km. The names: Simon (Sojasun), Schar (BMC), Kolobnev (Katusha), and Favilli (Lampre).
With 20 km to go the gap is 1 30, but there is still a cat 3 hill to lower the gap on.
10 km to go now and the gap is 20 sec. The peloton is summiting the cat 3 climb and Cavendish is in trouble.
Five kms to go and Kolobnev is the last man to be caught by the Orica and Omega led field.
2 km to go and Jurgen has started his sprint. Omega is leading out Boonen and Lampre have Pozzato in my wheel.
1 km to go and Boonen went way early as I start my sprint Pozzato leaves my wheel to go for his own glory. Who will take it?
Its Pozzato!! He's going so fast he forgot to celebrate until 300 m after he crossed the finish line! I take second ahead of Boonen and Rojas. We have four men i the top 10: Me, both Jurgens, and Lars Bak.
