Under normal circumstances you'd get a longer ban than three months for working with a banned doctor.
Pozzato got a reduction due to technicalities. I didn't follow the case too closely, but as far as I understand, CONI hadn't updated all sites regarding the ban of Ferrari, thus Pozzato could have thought it was still legal to work with him. |

Deadpool wrote:Bettini was only a mediocre sprinter and Freire didn't really have the legs to challenge the Bettini and Boogerd types on a hilly finish
EDIT: No offense, but you're wrong on both counts.
To rebut the Freire argument:

To rebut the Bettini argument, the guy regularly beat elite sprinters in bunch finishes because he was one. He won GT stages and finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd against the likes of Zabel, Petacchi or Cipollini was an everyday occurrence

Bettini wouldn't match those three on sheer speed at the end of a pan flat G.T. stage. When he beat them it was either on uphill or twisted finish.
If I were to compare his sprinting abilities to somebody nowadays, I think I'd say "Sagan", so Deadpool's argument doesn't hold, of course.
@CrueTrue : I don't think Pozzato "thought" it was still fine to work with him. He did it no matter what and got caught, then his lawyer probably found that technicality. I wouldn't trust Pozzato in this case... |

Speaking of stupidly strong teams, here's Spain
RodrÃguez
Valverde
Contador
S.Sánchez
Freire
Moreno
Flecha
Castroviejo
Lastras
Valverde bets on himself. Contador teases RodrÃguez about it

Surely Castroviejo the leader here.
Different to Germany`s squad, where indeed a top10 would be already a success, the Spaniards must go all-in here and win it. Everything else would already be a disappointing I guess. |

And LL Sanchez is missing from that team. So they could have been stronger

Not really, considering that the team is basically 3 domestiques, 1 domestique who never gives everything for his leader so he can get a result for himself, and 5 leaders, one of them being clearly past his peak, all directed by the dumbest among the dumb DSs.

Even if they rode in a split squad, they'd probably still do insanely well
I really want Freire if its at all possible to win.

For the record, Contador says he has zero ambition to win anything in the road race. He's all in for the TT.

Plot twist to the Belgium-Vanendert story.
Vandenbergh is out injured, so his replacement is.....Devenyns
Why not call up Dennis Vanendert to piss off Jelle?

Actually Devenyns deserves this as well after his TdF performance and he should be a luxury team mate.
But yes, Vanendert is a must in their squad imo. |

I've heard he will be soon wearing an AG2R jersey. Are there any other news?
