More like starting the Giro in Denmark. And that DID happen.

true
but i am worried that all three options will come to pass
The Tour of Poland is a nice race for talents to show up, why is the Top 3 that bad.
Contador, Bennati, Dekker, Guarnieri, Kittel for example won here stages before or with (Kittel) their explosion. Can't be that bad.

There's few rumours but it should be something like this :
Saturday and Sunday two stages in Italy, Trentino. Tough, mountain stages. Rumoured MTF to be Madonna di Campiglio, but it's not confirmed yet.
Monday - Rest Day and transfer to Poland
Rest 5 stages in Poland - route not know yet
They could rather do some stages in czech republic. It is closer and we lack a significant race ,despite good amount of people interested in cycling. But nothing like Madonna di Campiglio here
Or Slovakia of course...
Edit: Now i see some had this idea earlier. Seriously, let them enter Tatra mountains, there are few absolute killer climbs and it is closer to Poland.
