Why was Chav crying?
Petacchi moved over, but was in front anyway, so there's no reason to cry foul.

Nice result for Appollonio and Ferrari too.
Farrar disappointed, but it didn't surprise me at all. |

Appollonio got 6th with no lead-out whatsoever. Great result for him, especially at his young age.

Sky found a gem there.

Farrar has to be one of the biggest dissapointments of the year si far.

Cavendish has no right to complain. Petacchi very impressive today. |

I cant see how anyone can defend Petacchi's actions, he definately moved across and blocked Cavendish, but he gets away with it because he was marginally enough ahead of Cavendish to get across infont of him.
And the tactic worked for Petacchi, he gets away with it and wins the stage because of it.

I think he was fourteenth. That amounts to a whooping 10 points |

It did seem a bit optimistic of Garmin considering that Farrar was pretty dissapointing in Turkey

If you are ahead, even by just a little bit, then you probably have the right. I think Cav has a case, but I think the right decision was probably made

That was a close sprint. I was hoping for Cav' to win, though, as I don't like Petacchi.
I've never seen such a boring Giro stage before.

Petacchi should have hold a straight line, but Cavendish shouldn't cry everytime somebody do something which he doesn't like. Petacchi was riding inside of the reglement so I think it was a fair victory. |

Same for me. I'm starting to regret that I chose him instead of Belletti. I hope he will do better in the harder stage tomorrow.

Farrar. Sigh.
He was perfectly positioned with 500 metres to go and well... he just disappeared. i just loved how his three teammates reacted to seeing that they lost him. |

I love the Giro and I have a hobby of re-watching previous editions on DVD, so I've watched every Giro since 1992 several times over.
My point is, I only ever remember someone being penalized in a sprint twice, and both were for extreme situations: McEwen swerving Baldato into the wall and Bettini doing the same to Cooke
