Meh... Say I was expecting some dodgy team. Well, after all maybe Garmin-Cervélo's just one more of those.

The Chipolte Devo team, not the Pro-Tour squad.

But the plan is that after he rides a few months there, he goes to the PT team. So it's all the same really. Bend it the whatever way you want, it all comes down to that

Sure but he isn't getting any younger. I mean I'd love to see that man on the Giro, but you can't blame Leopard to try and save a 40-year-old (and still extremely useful) guy for the Tour.

According to the Belgian press, Omega Pharma and Lotto are working in separate projects. Omega Pharma wants a more international team, and may join forces with Quick Step, with Jürgen Van den Broeck and André Greipel with them, while Lotto, with some other Belgian sponsors, want a team with a Belgian focus, with Gilbert as leader.

In other news, it seems that Crostis isn't enough for the Giro organization, so they are working to include, in 2/3 years (as the climb isn't prepared yet), a new climb, called Stentaria. It's 10.5 km long, with an average of 16%. Oh, and it reaches 28% in the final meters!!! o_O

Someone has stolen their brains. Or they just want a new record of the fewest riders finishing the Giro.

Yes, clearly Boonen, Steegmans, Stauff, Chicchi and Ciolek aren't enough sprinters.

Hey, maybe they just want to create a monster sprint train to compete with Columbia's. Imagine Stauff leading out Chicci, who leads out Steegmans who leads out Ciolek who leads out Boonen who leads out Greipel. They could launch the sprint with 3 km to go, like in PCM. Pfft

He showed no climbing skills this year so I wouldn't be too otptmistic he will be there when Contador needs him. Navarro more likely.

... which confirms that Lotto will continue without OmegaPharma. QuickStep has denied that Omega will join the team as a co-sponsor.

Lampre won`t let anyone participate in the Giro d`Italia, who might be involved in the Nigrelli doping case.

This also includes their team director Giuseppe Saronni. Instead of him Roberto Damiani will be in the team car.

Other teams don`T do it as Ballan is still in the BMC squad for the race.

Rumour goes Omega-Pharma might team up with Riis as replacement for Saxo-Bank as sponsor...

Indeed very interesting. The Di Luca vs. Zirbel thing is that strange. Rolling Eyes

But did he really say that there was no organized doping after Festina 1998 but just every rider on his own? This is quite weird after T-Mobile/Telekom, Lampre, US Postal etc...
But as he said he is hoping Wink

Obviously, the interview is very soft on Pinotti. There are lots of questions, especially about doping, that would have been relevant to ask.

But nevertheless quite interesting.
