Really a great race with an excellent final. Too bad Hushovd got his race ruined when he was held up by the fall, same with Freire. If just Boasson Hagen had been able to keep up he might have gotten a "relatively" good place. |

Not their fault anyway. Hushovd, Farrar and Freire was caught behind the crash. And Freire also crashed right afterwards too. |

Addding he was the one of the few in leading group that he was only one from his team. If he had Flecha or Thomas I think he could fought for a Top5.

Aboslutely, just in terms if the results those team must be most dissapointed today.

after the split Haussler was also with very little chance to win, without teammates to control, i was actually surprised with Goss still there against a Nibali, Gilbert and Cancellara.
Kroon my rider of the day. What a work he did to keep the gap.
I Also didn't feel that Rabo should be dissapointed, as everybody worked very hard to close the gap, the race was just to hard. I was surprised that even Matthews had the legs to work after 240 KM and a crash.

That argument fails when you remember that Goss had no teammates either

Rabobank maybe unlucky because everyone in the 1st group were working well together. Still, this is the best Milano - Sanremo I've ever seen.
I kinda laughed at the Belgian commentators who were very frustrated about Pozzato closing the gap to Gilbert.

Goss didn't race on Mclaren, only Cav, Renshaw and Eisel did.
God Eurosport commentators talking about why Contador doesn't ride races like MSRand P-R, and one of them says - Contador doesn't do stage races, only one day races and then goes all red

To be fair, I have lately had problems to distinguish Gilbert's back wheel and Pozzatto. They seem one unified entity. |

This was the best ever seen MSR for me. Loved it! No big surprise for me, Goss is decent on hills, he won last years' GP de Plouay. But I still think, Hushovd would have snatched it if it wasn't for that fall and split of the peloton. And I agree that Karsten Kroon was one of the key man today, he kept the 2nd peloton away. Good race for BMC and Lotto all in all.
PS: I was afraid of Sagan today, but luckly he didn't have the stamina for a 300km+ race.

Indeed ..such a long race (also like Paris-Roubaix) is already different level thing |

Preety good result, very happy for him, he outsprinted guys like Haussler or Sagan
Goss proved that you don't need race T-A to win MSR
