If there are graphical mistakes in the stages, this isn`t a DB bug but a stage bug.
Unfortunately you can`t edit PCM10 stages with the new editor like PCM09 stages without the original file.
So if there is a mistake the only way to fix it is to create a new stage. |

It seems like there's no bonusses for the french one-day race at 29/08. The game crashes for me on this date.
I had the same problem with the previous DB, and it was fixed with CrueTrue sending me a file for the race. (cont_11_chateauroux.rar)
Could anyone help me out again?
That's weird. I included the file that I edited for you with the DB, so it should work.
If it doesn't, do as SonDaan suggests: Open your CM_Stages folder and replace the stage with another one. |

Not sure if this is a bug report, but the finish at La Fleche is a bit strange.
I had Ivanov driving the pace along at the bottom of the Mur with Rodriguez behind waiting to grab the wheel of whoever went past him first.
Basically, all the favourites then sprinted up the Mur at full speed all the way to the top and Rodriguez has plenty of energy to spare at the end, finishing 5th. It may as well have been flat at the finish.
Not sure if this is something that can be tweaked in the .db settings for the finish or the stage tweaked by roturn to make the Mur longer in game.
As a comparison, PCM09 was fairly close to real life in that everyone just about died going up the Mur. In this version, as I said, it may as well have been flat... |

Sounds like I should have a look on Fleche Wallone, too ;(
Thought this race by Cyanide is quite well. The thing is that if there are still a lot of rider in first group in the end, the sprint looks weird, because every rider can use other wheels.
But in real there were still about 120 men on the 3km sign and the real slope starts at 1km. The 100th lost almost 3min on this last km.
If you change gene_f_time_gap to 1s for this race, the result will be probably quite realistic. But a 1km uphill sprint in PCM is not very much. There is no time for attacking or tactic. Only tactic is to be one of the 5 best riders and be in first positions when the sprint starts.
The races I fixed (AGR, RVV, in future LBL) are easier to fix because there isn`t such a big group in the end.
Evans won this year because he kept cool after Contadors attack and overtook him on the last metres. Because of the 1:10 scale I don`t think this is possible in PCM.
Realisic times = yes
Realistic last km = no

Yes, the race itself was fine up until that point. You always get a big group in this race. Just that final climb up the Mur that was the problem. |

I am afraid that you can`t really fix short uphill sprints because of the 1:10 scale.
Only way would be to make the Mur longer like you said before and have a 3km uphill sprint instead of 1km.
Then the profile wouldn`t be realistic but there would be a 2km attacking zone before 1km sprint.
But never tried this, so not sure if this creates realistic results. |

As a quick test changed the uphill sprint value to 1 in STA_stage and seemed to make a small difference in the finish. Only the top 10-15 riders were able to sprint up at full speed. The other 50 odd riders in the peloton were gapped. Still, there was no real change in the positions from the bottom to the top. |

Cyanide should make a real-time last 3k or something to fix those things...I never saw a peloton sprintin from 3k to the finish line too. That's just the difference between the game and real cycling. Nothing to do about it I'm afraid. |

Thats how it was in previous versions of PCM, in order to have a more realistic result rather than a more realistic profile.

Hi, I have a bug in some of the classic, reaching the last kilometers the game freezes and gives me error such has happened in the Amstel Gold Race and another, what somebody else is wrong? Lower your graphic settings and/or remove custom equipment (props to titleist82, now i can play 200+ km stages on max settings without crashes ). As far as is understand PCM crashes when it reaches a certain amount of RAM usage. So Amstel Gold is a perfect Race to crash due to its length.
OnTopic:
Giro v3 (first appears in 2012) starts with a prologue which is tagged as Road Race instead of ITT. Quite funny those 9 km though. |

#171:
Thanks. Unfortunately, it's up to the stage makers to set the correct settings when making the stage, and I can't even change it - only the one with the original stage making file can.
I'll see if I can make him fix it |

TdF v3 also starts with a RR instead of ITT.
edit: stage 20 in the same variant should be ITT too i think (though that 65km mountain ITT would be crazy IRL)
Giro v3 is insane. First GT for me in PCM10 and less than 100 riders made it to stage 21.
It isn't possible to prevent Liquigas from peaking 4-5 climbers (in this case Nibali, Basso, Ricco, Di Luca) for the Giro, eh?

Just found out playing my second season that in one of the Santos Tour Down Under versions (the one were last stage is a hilly urban circuit) some of the stages havenĀ“t got the finish points, time bonifications nor prizes edited. Apart from that the race is great fun to play :-) |

I confirm. Giro v3 has more than 10 super-mountain stages, in my career only 88 reached the final stage.
You can fix manually the stages that are set as RR instead of TTT or ITT by editing the sta_stages table in your savegame. (TdF v3 is supposed to be TTT) |

Hi,
I miss a lot of stages like Australian Championship, stage 4 Mallorca, Clasica ALmeria.... so the game crashes when I play them.
Why I don't find them in my Stages folder? Could anybody be so kind to explain me step by step what I have to do?
I feel a little bit stupid using computers...
ASAP please!!
Thanks a lot. |

It's easier if you tell me what you've done so far step-by-step. What have you installed so far? |

Hi,
I uninstalled everything.
Now I have just installed PCM 1.0.1.8. Nothing else.
How should I proceed now? Step by step please...
Thanks a lot. |

Ok, thanks, but only one more question: I just have to install them or I need to copy paste some files?
