They've already dug themselves the hole. A very deep, spacious hole, complete with wall mounted plasma TVs courtesy of Mr Armstrong. It's just a matter of time until the US investigation fills it up with the UCI still in the hole

Well, no one could really expect McQuaid, who was, or maybe still is, Verbrugghen's pet to expect him admit that what Landis claim is all the truth, and that old Hein was indeed a corrupt bastard...
But I doubt their letter to Landis has any mandatory power on him. They should just sue him, so that we get an investigation, but I doubt it's ever going to happen.

Exactly. If these people had nothing to hide, no way they wouldn't try to sue Landis, right? The fact that they're just doing "strongly worded letters" means to me that they're trying to avoid the courts. And we know why people try to avoid courts... |

I think there is a distinct possibility that Canondale step up and fill the gap.

The injuries that Sastre sustained in the first few stages of the Giro turn out to be far worse than first realized. He may very well miss the Tour.
I sure hope he does. I want to see him 100% at the Vuelta.
Meanwhile, Vino's "I want a top 3" at the Giro turned out to just be more lies, which from him isn't really surprising. Apparently he just wanted to keep the jersey until the last week started, and then the team's GC guy would be Tiralongo.

And I'm sure he hopes he misses out on the Tour too Having seen his comments, he doesn't seem all too motivated to ride it.
In other news, Mapei says that they'd like to get back into cycling within 2 to 3 years. When QuickStep disbands, perhaps? |

No, when Quickstep and Omega Pharma Lotto fuse together to form one Belgian superteam. |

Some Radioshack guys tested about 20 different time trial bikes and concluded that Look is the worst. Rein Taaramäe commentated on it. He said Look time trial bikes are way too heavy and not up to top level standards. He even said sth like its impossible to reach top10 in high level time trials. Unfortunatelly, being Cofidis' best rider is not good enough to get a different bike for him. I think he made a wrong choice when staying there.

ok.. he has bad TT bike. But team is perfect for "rookie".. like Rein. OnlyEstonian stupid press presenting him as superstar and guy who will beat Contador.
I would be realy dissapointed if he moves to Schack or similar team.
But there is almost shure that he will be Cofidis rider also in next year? |

Isn't it weird for a rider on a team to criticize a team sponsor that much? |

The knee injury Soler suffers from could be really bad and prevent him from the TdF... Everything depends if he'll be able to ride La Route du Sud or not...

What the heck?
A few days ago I was thinking if he was ever going to come back it was going to be with an italian team, likely Lampre. Now this.
Funny coincidence.

The investigation involving Michael Rasmussen, Bernhard Kohl and Christian Hoffmann (according to the first reports, they had bought a blood centrifuge) has ended with no results. |

so technically, what's in it for them?
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?
