The reason that Boasson Hagen failed, according to himself, was because of stomach problems in the last half of the race.
Clearly there had to be a reason for his non-domination
What's Boonen's excuse this time?
I mean he didn't win, so obviously he'll have some excuse like he always has.
According to Wuyts he complained about not drinking enough, but against the camera's he said nothing of the sort and said Freire was simply better.
So at least he had media training. |

Can Acqua e Sapone wear another shirt? They are copying Breschel's jersey.. Fortunately Matti will go to Italy again to the Giro di Lombardia..

Great job for Freire to win, I've yet to see what happens, but I'm looking forward to seeing it.
BTW, anyone know where I can find a highlight video or a video that starts on the Cipressa or Poggio? |

Great race yes, and impressive by Freire, coming back and winning after many people have written him off.
As for the norwegians, good race by Hushovd, although im beginning to be a bit worried about his sprint since he really hasn't had a good one this year.
As for Edvald, shame about stomach pain he got, difficult to ride the end of a 300 km race with that kind of problem. And also funny to read all the comments from the happy people on the board just because Edvald failed. |

forums are anonymous for everyone's good (bar stalkers and people trying to steal personal information).
Plus you fanboys never get that in general (lance as an obvious exception) it's you we hate

Notice that it's the same every time a young rider like this shows up.
Remember when Cunego first showed some results?
The fanboys were saying that because he got some decent results while he was young, that automatically guaranteed he was the new Pantani and anyone who didn't agree was yelled at for "being a hater"

Last hour of the race (in English) is at Universal Sports here
I must warn you that A) it might be geo-restricted, B) it takes 1-2 minutes to load, and C) prolonged exposure to the lack of intelligence of the commentators can lead to heart failure. |

This is worse. By far the best moment is when Sergei Ivanov is on the front, the color guy almost says Pozzato, before realizing it's not the Italian champions jersey, but the Russian champions jersey. You then get about a thirty second period where he is talking (with no rhythm whatsoever) about how national champions get to wear a "special jersey" while obviously searching his notes for who that is.
He then proceeds to completely mispronounce his name. |

IT COULD BE A LOT WORSE. YOU COULD HAVE BRIAN BLESSED YELLING CYCLING COMMENTARY FOR THE FIVE HOURS OF A FLAT TOUR DE FRANCE STAGE

A part of the charm with sports in general is predicting the future. I agree that fanboys shouldn't flood the forums with asinine predictions though. |

and Ruben got march self-irony reward. It makes him only stronger..It is the reason why I admire Wyman (blind Cunego fan..)..best self-irony example. |
