So, the GTs no longer take place in the nations they origin from - and now, they don't invite the best teams of the country either.
Seriously, though, I'd have loved to see Rujano at the Giro. I'm sure it'll still be exciting, but why leave out the Italian teams? To them, this is the event of the year, so surely, they'd ride with lots of motivation. |

According to Velonews, Shack is "skipping" the Giro.
Sure... |

That is my point, Velonews is twisting it to make Lance's team not look bad. |

Rujano is way better than most people say in here, just an underachiever because he never took training serious after giro 2005, but last year he was really really good (destroyed everyone in columbia), and this year also (he destroyed langkawi)
it really takes the fun out of my giro. I don't think i'll watch, seriously. Even with the start of Amsterdam the giro doesnt interest me with these teams. Evans, Basso and Sastre can't make me exciting |

Stumbled upon an article, saying that the world's largest pump manufacturer, Grundfos, is sponsoring the World Championship in track cycling in Denmark (this week). That's their first sponsorship in cycling.
Possibly a new main sponsor for Team Saxo Bank? They did say that they are in negotiations with one (or two - don't remember exactly) Danish sponsor(s). |

Whereas I, on the other hand, really enjoy watching Evans race in races he actually enjoys and aren't as predictable as the Tour.
Yes, it's a pity not to see Rujano here, but at the end of the day, the line up for the Giro always excites me.

First Designa Køkken, and now Grundfos... "Midtjylland" is going to be the new meeting-place in Danish Pro Cycling |

Armstrong's comment on seeing that the Giro rejected them:
Interesting 2 read that @teamradioshack not selected 4 the Giro. Unrelated - guess they got our letter Jan 23 saying we wouldn't be coming.

Team LEGO has never been a possiblity. LEGO sponsering a cycling team would be the biggest brainfart since the Romans thought it would be a good idea, to burn practiacly all the advancded knowlegde that the greeks had gathered.
