Stage 6
Daniel Navarro is again part of early break.
Last small hill before end and he´s still leading together with Anthony Charteau.
But here are Niemec and Hernandez, who are joining leading duo on summit! It looks Navarro missed his chance to win stage here again...
...and that´s definitely true, Przemyslaw Niemec is strongest in sprint and wins last stage of race! Paolini, Bakelants and Roche have joined leading group in last kilometers and took some time for rest of peloton, increasing overall leading for Bakelants.

indeed
Hilly circuit race, Stefano Garzelli opens his season here and is counted between main contenders today.
Andrea Masciarelli joined BOTD and spent most of the day in front of race.
It´s hard to describe how race was going in last 20km...attack was followed by another attack and again and again. Garzelli could follow, our second leader Failli couldn´t.
Strong group of main contenders formed behind last original breakaway rider - Andrea Tonti.
Tonti almost made it...almost...
It was Scarponi, who seemed to be strongest, but I was really surprised Garzelli saved some energy until finish!
Michele Scarponi won ahead of Garzelli and Lastras, very nice result indeed.

Stage 2
Today´s stage is almost flat, but is finishing on famous climb Alpe di Pampeago. Heaven for climbers, hell for the rest. We have team full of good climbers here and could exploit it. Stefano Garzelli is, of course, our main hope.
Four escapees are coming first to final brutal climb. It is Comesso, Krol, Saracini and Buividas. Peloton is about 2 minutes back.
First move is coming from Moletta.
Sandy Casar is next, this could be serious, but we are staying calm.
Casar is working hard alone in front and built gap over one minute before about 20-men group, including Garzelli, Failli, Codol, F. Masciarelli and A. Masciarelli.
Rubiano and Garzelli are making their move!
Garzelli in difficulties, he can´t follow Rubiano, it´s unpleasant surprise.
He is caught by Goubert, Dessel, Carrara, Cioni, Moletta and F.Masciarelli. Casar is still holding comfortable lead.
This is just brutal! But Francesco Masciareeli doesn´t care and attacks!
He is flying over Rubiano...
...only Casar remains ahead of him...
...but it´s too late. Sandy Casar wins the stage and takes leaderś jersey as well. I´m pleased with Francesco´s performance today and slightly disappointed with Garzelli, who finished 7th, and even was beaten by Goubert or Dessel...

Stage 3
Passo Sella, highest point of race...I´ve sent Massimo Codol into break, no one could follow. He is now about 5 minutes ahead of main contenders and becomes new virtual leader atm.
38km to go, Codol is still leading by 4 minutes (max. gap was 8', but his chances to succeed aren´t high, peloton led by FdJ riders increased speed rapidly. Massimo will be awarded by KOM jersey for his great effort after stage though.
But Massimo didn´t give up and almost made it...now he is just about caught with 2 km to finish by small group of chasers including Casar, Rubiani, Garzelli or F.Masciarelli, which attacked from peloton a while before.
Dario Cioni opens sprint...
...but Garzelli is far best sprinter here a takes his first season win! Francesco Masciarelli is second, it´s double for ASA! Sandy Casar still leading in GC.

Stage 4
Last stage of race was for pure climbers. This stage contained 2 hard climbs, Passo Mondola and Pejo Fonti, where this stage has ended. We could expect battle for purple jersey between Casar and my boys and jersey for best young rider - F.Masciarelli was only 3" behind Rubiano. But expectation is one thing, reality can be different. Our hopes didn´t feel good today and Sandy Casar was easily strongest in the pack. He didn´t let anyone go away in final climb and only Rubiano, Moletta, Carrara and Garzeli (at least his effort secured him podium place in GC) could hold with him until finish. Francesco Masciarelli lost almost 2 minutes and dropped out to 7th place overall. Sandy Casar proved his domination in final sprint as well and won his second stage here. Only good news were that game didn´t crash after last stage of race and winning of point, mountain and team jerseys for our time. Especially our win in team competition was crushing.
