CSKA Sofia is now also out of the Champion's League This must mean more Danish teams in the CL then
Edit: Oh, wait. Stupid rules:
A club which is not admitted to the competition shall be replaced by the next best-placed club in the top domestic league championship of the same national association, provided it fulfils the admission criteria. In this case, the access list for the UEFA Club Competitions (Annex Ia) will be adjusted accordingly.

notice that these "rules" miraculously didn't apply to Juventus. I wonder why...
also, even if there were any evidence at all against Porto, the law couldn't be applied because it only came into effect over three years after the alleged events.
Retroactively upholding laws FTW! |

Well it's fucked up.. Now Milan will get a place in CL ..
And it's definitely not good for bulgarian football that CSKA Sofia has been excluded

Why would Milan get a spot in CL? See my post. It will be the 2nd ranked team in the league which gets the spot, meaning: 1 team from the Portuguese league and 1 team from the Bulgarian league. |

I've heard another rule: The club with the highest UEFA ranking that aren't qualified to the tournament will get the spots if a club is excluded.. Milan is ranked 2nd.. That's why.. |

It is going to go to runners up Levski sofia, i believe that the fa asked uefa and they gave their blessing. Otherwise it would have been milan.

UEFA stated that any time a team is excluded, the place will be taken by another team from the same league.
not that Porto will lose their spot. the law is on their side, so how can they lose? |

Can anyone explain to me why Greece has the most UEFA cup spots of all countries? They have 5 clubs in the first round. |

Greece most UEFA places? - maybe because they're the reigning European Champions?
Anyway in "important" news, Richard Dunne has said that he is tempted to stay now that MArk Hughes has joined

Apparently, Cristiano Ronaldo is gonna announce his future in a press conference today. Real Madrid is gonna be his choice according to the portuguese press...
In other transfer news:
Pato and Trezeguet are on their way to Barcelona and Adebayor is going to AC Milan.

With regards to the Ronaldo issue
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main...ldo205.xml
Even if you can't be bothered to read the whole article (I certainly didn't). Just take a look at the headline
Also Giovani dos Santos has been quoted in Sport newspaper (newspaper devoted to Barcelona) saying: "Next season I will be playing for Tottenham."

Sir Alex Ferguson said he'd rather bench Ronaldo for an entire year than selling him to Real Madrid. That'd be funny! |

It seems Elano could be vital in Ronaldinho's decision on what team to move to (not that he actually has a choice anymore, it's Man City or lower salary than he wants). Elano and Ronaldinho are close friends in the Brazilian national team and Elano has been talking about what a great, yet unusual transfer it would be for Man City.
He's keen to link up with Ronaldinho.

It would be a crazy transfer if Ronaldinho in fact moved to Manchester City ..
It would be funny .. And it's confirmed that Giovani Dos Santos has moved to Tottenham Exciting .. ! Liverpool have bought Andrea Dossena from Udinese .. He should replace John Arne Riise..
Barcelona has bought Martin Caceres from Villarreal .. Just in front of Real Madrid .. I LIKE THAT !!

Tottenham will sign forward Giovani dos Santos from Barcelona, subject to a medical and agreeing personal terms. ( )
The Mexico international will sign a five-year deal in a move which will cost an initial £4.7m and could rise to £8.6m depending on appearances.
Barcelona have retained the right to 20% of any fee should the 19-year-old move on from Spurs in the first two years of his spell with the club.
And they will get 10% of any fee if he is sold later in his contract.
But yes it looks like he will. He's still one of my favourite players, but the fact that he snubbed Man City, I'm not as happy with him as I used to be

Hehe ..! He's a good player and I don't understand why Barcelona sold him ..
He's a a great talent and they (FC Barcelona) should have kept him in the club.. |
