Another good result for Sinkeldam.

In Spain a mountain stage goes to Belda.

Outside Top 10??

And just one click shows he finished 52nd 10 seconds back. As said yesterday, he's inconsistent at this age.

according to Coquard's tweeter he was slow down by a crash in the final, but he is also coming back from a break so he still don't have a big condition (okay he won yesterday Wink)

Yep, he claimed he had bad legs anyway.

Luis Leon Sanchez! While David Belda of Burgos-BH wins the General Classification. Arnaud Demare made it two straight wins from three stages.

So Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour is done now and it was neither a revelation nor a disappointment.

Stage 1 was ridiculously hard with strong wind and rainfall, and an early split saw Herklotz being left in the second group.
The Stölting co-leader Werda was in the front, so he couldn't rely on his team to chase and tried to bridge late, but didn't quite make it. 23rd on the day.

Stage 2: bunch sprint.

Stage 3: the rather mountainious stage. Silvio got into the favourites group of 7 on the climb, but Edet attacked out of it to early leaders Taaramae and Golcer, his unsuccessful try to bridge again meant no energy for the sprint, so he finished last from that group.

Stage 4: bunch sprint.

So overall, position 8 and white. Nothing spectacular, but decent warm-up for Bayern Rundfahrt.

Speaking of which, the startlist is out now.
Holy fuck!

https://bayern-rundfahrt.com/Ftp/Media...dfahrt.pdf

The hilly stage will be wildly contested, although Silvio has the advantage of peaking for this, while the others probably take it as a prep race.

Still, Cancellara, Meintjes, Bardet, Peraud, Dombrowski, Thomas, Spilak, Kolobnev, Barguil, Frank, Tschopp, Rebellin, Pinot, König, Gerrans, Impey, S.Yates, Sepulveda, LLS...
If he is amongst them or close on that stage, we can assume he (and thus Stölting) is ready for Pro-Conti next season.

The TT in there means he'll probably won't significantly improve on his 25th GC spot from last season, but that's not what this race is about for me.

You know there were other riders there... right? Wink

Well, this is #SilvioWatch, so obviously no Pfft
Plus it's only a .2 race anyway.

Seriously, I was thinking of adding the PCS results, but 5 of them in one post with that much text would've been too much imo.

To make it short: Kvasina won by being in both front groups.
Stage 1 surprsising went to Quentin Jauregui, a decent ride for a 20-year-old. He attacked away from the 30-something group with 3 others and took the win.
Noticeable is the huge amount of gaps, the largest group at the finish line consisted of 14 riders! Really a tough tough day.

The first bunch sprint was won by Jimmy Raibaud, a pretty unknown rider even to PCS.
Stage 3 was won by Nicolas Edet after bridging up to the BoTD of Taaramae (who was completely spent on stage 1 after doing a lot of work and was no GC threat) and Golcer, the other 6 guys were pretty close.

A promising guy for Cofidis in Venturini took the last sprint.

GC

Better? Wink
