You gotta remember that unlike the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain etc, we don't have a bucket load of top-tier professional riders. Maybe some people go a little overboard sometimes, but it comes with the territory. Go to the Philippines and ask about Pacman and you'll get the same response x 1000.
By all means celebrate, but the continually over the top behaviour is just you discrediting yourselves immensely in terms of most other peoples opinions here. Wouldnt somewhere like PCMNorge be a more appropriate place to express your Hagen-love non stop? But if you do want to become hated or laughed at, then feel free, I dont imagine it will be very fun in the long term though.
Ive already posted the correlation with Cavendish - differences being that myself and other Brits were not this bad and Cavendish really was the first big successful cyclist in Britain to win on regular occasions for a long time - Norway has already had Hushovd winning for a number of years.
Looking at the some of recently created threads in this section, I wouldn't take being laughed at as an insult. As for EBH, he is a great talent with a great future. No harm in celebrating that.

I suggest you stay off the forums when EBH does well then. |

I think that Hector Gonzalez is going to become a good cyclist in a few years time. He was hurting a lot in the break today, but that comes with being a neo-pro (or in his second year, I don't know which). For him to get in the break is a good experience for him, and especially to be able to climb with the forerunners in that break for a bit. Give him a few years, and I reckon we could see a little bit more of him.
Quoting in case its gets drowned, i think youre right actually.
Glad someone else noticed/agrees/has an opinion on something more exciting than one rider.
Also, I believe it was Snowz/Snomz/Sno.. who mentioned Cunego's performance today. Well, I, for one, am kinda disappointed. I mean, sure we all know he's a classics rider who has yet to accept his place, but suffering at the hands of Horner over the penultimate climb, come on lad, pull your finger out. He's not going well this tour, and I just so hope he gives up his continual fight for GC. He needs a good solid slap around the face.

Ok, back on topic: the Giro.
Anyone got the profile for tomorrow's stage? |

Cunego has showed in this Giro that he don't have anything to do in a GT.

González was seriously impressive.
Then again, he gets his chance to shine, given the team he rides for.

I think Cunego got some quality time with himself on the road to Alpe di Suisi and finaly realised that the days when he could win a GT are gone. |

I actually quite like Fuji's set up, gives a lot of guys a chance to shine at the highest level. It's like a French pro tour team, but for Spanish guys instead... Ricardo Serrano for example, injured for the past 2 season for most of the time, joins Fuji, and has been getting a few top 10's and got in that break in Romandie was it? Doing ok again now.

Don't you realise Cunego was already in top shape in march? This is, once again, the reason why he sucks in the Giro. He doesn't know how to peak and that, combined with his lack of ability to climb high mountains, makes him bad.
He is not a GC rider, but if he peaks ok he is top 10 material, however, he is now not even good enough to follow Horner on a short hill, a few months ago he dropped Evans on a same sort of hill in the Settimana Internazionale. |

I presumed by Cunego's lack of any performance in Ardenes that he wasn't actually peaked. Or that if he was, he'd have actually tried an attack or two.
And if he was in top form, I wouldn't expect him to be able to win mountain stages, but I'd expect him to be able to survive them. Not do worse than Wiggins.

I think you should actually think about the stage, the setting, what his role is on the team, what he's getting paid to do, and that you should read the previous pages and SHUT THE FUCK UP.
Seriously, pan flat? Cavendish.
