My last hope is Sanchez: increasing form + (Navacerrada+downhill-is it technical???) + TT. Sanchez gained 20 secs to Valverde at the first TT, this one is a bit longer and at the 20º stage. |

Another great ride by Damiano....it was his too lose..
I was impressed by Sammy's spirit..
Also nice ride by Valverde..
although i dislike him.. he did well to get back..

Gesink said he was too early with his attack. "I saw Evans cracking and thought this was a good moment. But then the climb started getting less steep and you have to adapt your rythm. So I was a bit too early. It's a shame I lost some seconds to Valverde, but at least I won time on Evans and Basso" |

Pretty sure they showed him in 10th place because it was right after the top few people finished, before all the other "top" GC guys had finished. |

dont know about Mosquera..I believe that he is riding he's own race..
But Cobo was there today for help Valverde..he was butting all out at the front of Piti..and then he was completly out..as perfect teammate. We know that Fuji team will change..maybe he want to be Caisse rider...
Sami was impressive and Cunego..favorites was on the limit but he still almost like freezed he's lead..
Valverde hard moment and then comeback..I was expecting that he has not done yet..
Bravo to Liquigas , Basso, Gesink ..at least they trying. Smartest man today was Mosquera again..i am so close to be he's fan

On Cobo I agree, the rest is not true I think. Sanchez has difficulties with the steep sections and rides on his own pace for this whole Vuelta. Besides, it would be a bit stupid if you're only 1.30 behind the leader and after he cracks gonna help that same leader.
And Mosquera has to gain time on anyone, why should he ride for Gesink, Basso and Evans when he want to get on the podium? He has to attack to pass them, riding in front of them would be stupid for his own position. And we can't blame Mosquera for fighting for his own position. He is the best climber around after all.

Mosquera is a great rider, he reminds me of EscartÃn, is a shame that he's gonna turn 34 in a few months. 
Good ride by Samuel, he's a little better than Valverde in TTs and he can attack in Navacerrada. Gesink will be great in future GTs.

Valverde clearly gestured at the fans to stop pushing him. Not to mention it clearly didn't make much difference at all.
Kroon was pushed quite a bit at the Amstel. Didn't see any of you complaining

Back in cyclo-cross, Boom admitted (as if it wasn't obvious to everyone watching) that he raced to have a dutchman win, not to have a Rabobank win.
On one occasion, Niels Albert tried to punch him, and I have to say it would've been fully deserved. I mentioned Boom because I'm a bit tired of seeing a bunch of dutchmen (and nobody else) crying that "it's the spanish. the spanish are always like this. bla bla bla"
If Valverde and Gesink had switched places these guys wouldn't have said a thing.

for me - there isnt much team tactics involved in cyclo cross anyway. sill, I dont know about it that Boom said so I'll leave this.
but, you are wrong in saying it is dutchies only. in the last two page of this topic it included at least a belgian and a brit as well.
It is - me for - a proven fact the Spanish help eachother, as do Italians (I said that before as well). Don't say this is bullshit, they've obviously proven it today with Cobo being the best example.
