Contador says he bonked on the climb of the Giau because he didn't eat properly. which he later did on the descent.

After losing 18 minutes on today's stage Chris Anker has given up riding for the GC and instead he is now all in on going for a stage win. Let's hope it's possible.

To keep the record straight, here's the source (in Danish though): https://sporten.tv2.dk/cykling/article...28239.html

they were interviewing Sorensen a while ago on eurosport 2. he says he felt horrible and thinks he might be developing bronchitis from the humidity

When was that?

Sella will attack again in next mountain stages. If will allow peloton him go on, he will have a chance win Giro. But flat TT, maybe will be problem for him..

I'm not sure. could've been anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes ago. just not sure. it was that small "eurosport news" segment they do every few hours

Sella will probably lose some time tomorrow, to concentrate on the mountain jersey (although he should win that even if he doesn't do much more, but he'll want another stagewin). The Team already has Pozzovivo for the GC.

Exactly. He only needs to go in the peloton and do some points here and there to win the mountain jersey. And now he's very dangerous for the GC, he rides 150 km in a breakway and in the last 15 km he still can win time to the favouritesShock

I'm surprised at the brits. the one time a british guy does a brilliant job, they're nowhere to be found

Congratulations to Wegelius on some brilliant work on the Passo Giau.

I missed the Giau. If I'd have seen it, there would've been some serious Charlie-chantingPfft

Charlie always does some good domestique work in the Giro. He rides it every single year and it's about the only race he does "pretty well" in. For all the domestique work he does, he really deserves his first win sometime.

Geraint, on his birthday, so nearly finished in the top 100 as well, 104th in the end. Great performances by a 22 year old Welshman, to finish the TdF last year and now looking good in the Giro. (btw, just reading my post over, I can see how low my expectations actualy areShockops: )
