I have a problem, the start list consists of 22 teams, the max then game will allow is 22 teams so there is no space for a control team. |

Not gonna start those yet. We still have Catalunya (nacho), E3 and Wevelgem (sutty), Oman (jaxika said he would start second week of januari) and San Luis (dunno when that is going to happen ). After that, we finish with De Panne, Indurain and Volta

The 2013 Volta a Catalunya sees the world tour race in the Spanish region of Catalunya. 23 teams will race over 7 days, the winner of the overall classification will come from the 2 mountain top finishes at the end of stages 3 and 4. There are plenty of opportunities for the sprinters, at minimum we can expect 3 bunch sprints so the points jersey will be there to win.
The biggest highlight of this years line up is Garmin entry of Martin, Hesjedal and Talansky, they will be looking to do damage in the mountain stages. Who will be leader?
Team Sky never seem to have weakened line-up, Richie Porte will be one of the main favourites for the GC, he will have the Belarusian duo in Kiryienka & Siutsou. Other big favourite is Alberto Contador of Saxo bank.
Outside favourites include Pozzovivo (AG2R), Ten Dam(Belkin), Lewis(BMC), Sami Sanchez(Euskaltel), Monfort (RadioShack), Moreno (Katusha), Konig (NetApp), Costa (Movistar), Scarponi (Lampre).
Stage 1
The first day of the stage race is likely to end in the bunch sprint, the sprinters line up include Stromberg (Garmin), Swift (Sky), Mezgec (Argos) and Bennati (Saxo). There are also climbers points available, someone in the break away will finish the day in the leaders jersey with a Cat.1 climb just after 40km.
Stage 2
The second stage is also classified as flat and win by another chance for a sprinter to take a victory. There is only one categorized climb but it is only a Cat.3
Stage 3
Volta a Catalunya hits the mountains, there are 2 Cat.1 climbs before the peloton hits the final climb of the day. Anyone will with GC aspirations will have to climb well today.
Stage 4
The man in the white and green striped jersey at the end of this second and last mountain stage finishing in Port Aine will be very close to winning the overall classification.
Stage 5
Stage 5 is another flat stage that we expect to end in a bunch sprint, a Cat.2 climb in the middle of the stage shouldn't be enough to drop the sprinters.
Stage 6
Although classified flat, the stage includes a category 1 climb and a Cat.2 climb towards the end which may derail the sprinters. The end of the day will suit a punchy climber with good descending skills to have a go at a stage win. Any time gain back in the GC will set up a spicy finale in stage 7
Stage 7
The last stage sees the stage race end on a circuit of 8, the circuit includes a Cat.3 climb which again will suits a punchy climber. We will be sure to see last resort attacks in attempt to gain GC places. Watch out for Delfi Cervero (FDJ), Dan Martin (Garmin) and Rui Costa (Movistar) as they again try to derail the sprinters. We will have the winner of the race at the end of this stage.

I still think we're the strongest team here, though 'Berto and Nico for Saxo are also scary.
