30 minutes sustained pace on the turbo trainer today (1st time this year). I tell you though, after you've been cycling from A to B (tandem) it's pretty annoying and boring on the one spot
Tired as I've been awake since 4.15am (didn't sleep well) and for some reason, I'm feeling cold in the house |

Okay, I'll be going on a one-week holiday to a camping close to Barcelonette (France).
What do you suggest of climbing with the bike?
I already have a couple of climbs marked: Col de la Cayolle, Col d'Allos, Pra Loup. Maybe I could go to Jausiers and climb Col de la Bonette, it's pretty nearby. Anyone has other ideas? |

To all those people thinking into starting ridding at high level that think they're too old being like 17 or 18 to be a pro , it's never too late to join ( many here know that, but there's I would guess many that doubt it ) cycling it's not like soccer. Joe Dombrowski is a nice example I think. Just putting it out there
I got into cycling through mountain biking in high school when I was about 15 or 16. So that’s when I first started riding. My last couple of years of high school I got into doing some mountain bike racing and I raced some cyclo-cross in the fall as well. I actually didn’t start racing on the road until I was 18, in 2010.

Been working on a new training Regime with the Uni as i prepare for the racing season, Spinning Tuesday + Thursday, Recovery Wed + Sat, Base Miles Friday and a slightly more competitive ride on the Sunday, I'm loving it, but at the same time, it's a bit exhausting!

A bunch of people riding training bikes together. Not road bikes but the bikes in a gym

Finally got my new much lighter wheels last week so went and did some real climbing for the 1st time since being hit by a car a few months back. I managed 3 ascents of Mt Donna Buang in the Yarra Ranges near Melbourne in Oz.
Mt Donna Buang Length: 16.8km, Average gradient: 6.4%, Elevation gain: 1,069m.
I set a PB on the last ascent which surprised me, gives me confidence for 3 Peaks challenge in March
Hells 500 Crew and 6 x Everester
Don Rd Launching Place
Melbourne Hill Rd Warrandyte
Colby Drive Belgrave South
William Rd The Patch
David Hill Rd Monbulk

I second that. I can't find a climb that takes me more than three and a half minute to climb, here (around Rennes). |

Hell, I'm happy to see a bridge
Though the Flemish Ardennes (Oudenaarde) isn't that far away, about 25km Still, miss the longer climbs! |

I live in Limburg (Belgium), some say it's cycling paradise. But everything is as flat as a pancake. For me Wallonie (south of Belgium) is cycling paradise.
I can't wait to start my first complete season, I start riding my bike only last july. But because of the stupid belgium weather I have to wait very long to start.

I'm always on the hunt for cobbled roads. I live in the oldest town in Sweden and it has so many cobbled roads.
The bad thing is that it's those pesky champs élysées cobbles and not real.
That's one of the reasons I would like to go to Belgium sometime in the future. |

Know what you mean Though start training on "rollen", I don't know the proper term in English, though. |
