I wouldn't have thought this was a climb that suited Coppel.

If contador keeps going after everybody is going to lose - again - the bonus on the top. I like the way we rides, but it keeps burning him at the finnish

Let's all take a nap until Valverde sprints for the stage win and bonus seconds.
Why do organisers insist on putting these bonus seconds on hilly or mountainous stages?

Yeah, sure. Keep that hate on, you are doing great!
Fantastic victory for Aru once again. Rodriguez, Valverde and Contador simply didnt have more left in the tank. |

Spaniards and their games hihi. Not sure what they did at times but Valverde didn't really have any support, instead they prefer to attack each other. Let's see how Ponferrada will be between J-Rod & Valv. Contador by then in well-deserved Post-Victory holiday hopefully.
So much class by Aru and also a very nice surprise move by Froome.

Contador one of the winners? He lost 20 seconds to Froome in total and the gap is down to 1:19.In the flat ITT Froome will gain 20-25 seconds and if Conta cracks or Froome goes to full retard mode at Ancares Conta will lose the Vuelta

Valverde will be content with 3rd because Froome and Contador have been much stronger than him. Also Purito cannot expect anything better than 4th. he had 3 teammates but all of them were just attacking each other.
Makes things easier for Contador, just follow Froome even if Purito or Valverde attack. |

Say what 20-25 secs. In Dauphine he lost less than 10 on a harder TT than this one. And it was obvious that Contador was taking it easy today. I might be wrong but I can't see Bertie cracking if he stays onhis wheels.

IMO Contador was on limit. He tried once to go with Valverde and 3 times with Purito. Maybe that made him little bit deficient today.
But he did not respond when Froome went. He would have set pace if he was that scared of Froome today. He still has big gap and I dont see COntador losing 1 min on Ancares |
