Lol, disappointed by Calzone coming 2nd? O-okay. Must've missed the moment when Calzone became the best sprinter in the world and was required to win every stagein every race... Rolling Eyes

Good job by Walker on stage 7. He's had a poor end to the season but that saved it for him and hopefully his manager too.

Nearly there guys. 13 months and 1 week since the season started. Grin

Not exactly disappointed but it would have been nice to have another stage win. With one stage left he should take the GC win in what has been a dominant performance by the young Italian.

Looks like the rest of Beijing will actually be needed to take over. I'm extremely busy and I found out it's getting even worse. Race is played with PCM13, if anyone can take over, PM me. This also means I'll be less active in general for now on this site and in the story games section.

Yeah, would be great if anyone on PCM13 can take over on short notice Wink

Was that the final stage of Hainan by the way? I lost count Pfft
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Hmm how many stages left? I may be able to take over but have a few things coming up before Christmas break.

One more to go in Hainan. A race so grand as this obviously needs nine stages to feel complete...

I think it's also possible if someone with PCM14 takes over. Rider IDs seem to match for the DB, so all that's needed is someone to quicksim stages 1 and 2 and then copy DYN_Classification_Race and DYN_Classification_Stage of my save towards the new cdb.

If there are two stages left I'll report it on PCM13

There's 3 stages to go, unless I'm suffering from amnesia.

Just whooped up the Paris-Tours report, so say the word and it will be up. Kudus to PCM2013 for once, the report is twice as long I expected, but it was an exciting one.

NetApp Top 10 goal please, guys are on fire recently so I actually have hopes for this countered UCI goal.

Seems like we're going a bit slower then I hoped right now, if anyone could take over Beijing, that would be awesome.

For the new guys, I know tihs is taking a bit longer then you and I hoped, but as soon as the season is over, there will be more action for you Wink

Startlist:

Spoiler
i1374.photobucket.com/albums/ag411/ramblingman92/EPICSTART_zpse6c51683.jpg

The season finale! We wrap up EPIC season 1 with the French classic, Paris-Tours. Though it is not on the WT calendar, we do see many WT teams make the startlist, a fact which should really spice up the race.

Race Favourites:

Kittel, Degenkolb, Demare, Coquard & Goss

Argos, without doubt, are after the win here. In Kittel and Degenkolb they have two riders more than capable of winning. The question is whether their egos will hinder rather than help.

Aside from the above mentioned names, we also have the likes of Verboven, Hushovd, Farrar, Ciolek and Brouwer on the startlist. All of whom will be hoping for a top 5 placing here.

This race could disappoint due its predictability, however, if the conditions are there this could be one hum-dinger of a race! If we have the, predicted, high winds we could see one of the more exciting classics of the season. And to finish off the season that would be something sweet!

Team Goals:

NetApp - Endura - [Top 10]

Chances - Really up in the air, here. Kluge and Walker could really pull a rabbit out of the hat and finish in the top 10. But, with a solid startlist a top 10 could be hard going for this team, especially if we end up with a bunch sprint.

Europcar - [Top 6]

Chances - They must be confident of a top 6. They have one of the fastest sprinters here and, in Khamphan, they have a rouleur if the race becomes difficult.

FDJ - [Podium]

Chances - With home advantage Demare will be looking for a podium finish, at least. Still, race goals in such races are no givens.

Recent former winners:

2000 Andrea Tafi (ITA) Mapei-Quick Step
2001 Richard Virenque (FRA) Domo-Farm Frites
2002 Jakob Piil (DEN) CSC-Tiscali
2003 Erik Zabel (GER) Team Telekom
2004 Erik Dekker (NED) Rabobank
2005 Erik Zabel (GER) T-Mobile Team
2006 Frédéric Guesdon (FRA) Française des Jeux
2007 Alessandro Petacchi (ITA) Team Milram
2008 Philippe Gilbert (BEL) Française des Jeux
2009 Philippe Gilbert (BEL) Silence-Lotto
2010 Oscar Freire (ESP) Rabobank
2011 Greg Van Avermaet (BEL) BMC Racing Team
2012 Marco Marcato (ITA) Vacansoleil-DCM

Yes, Paris-Tours is not always a race for the pure sprinters and with the high frequency of breakaway success this season we may see a rouleur take the final win of the season.

Ollfardh must hate me for giving me a top 10 goal here but seeing how my guys have been on a roll lately, I hope we can make it. Cool

Stunning preview!
