Could I be so bold as to ask if I could possibly carry on this story? Some things are just too good to let them die! |

Great GT win from Fuglsang, what a great way to end a story (well there will be of course some more races but you know what i mean).

Thanks a lot for the amazing support! I'm honoured!
@ Neillster - Glad to hear you like this story that much. Still, I don't think it would be a good idea for you to continue this. I started this with an older db, which I also edited a lot. Teams, jerseys, stats and graphics would be messed up by even trying to transfer the story away. Therefore I doubt it would work very well on any other computer than mine. So I'm going to say no.
The world championships were really weird and messed up, so I decided to just give you the results. See post below for them. The season is closing very quickly!

World Time Trial Championships - Firenze
1 | Tony Martin | Germany | 1h12'48 | 2 | Sébastien Rosseler | Belgium | + 5 | 3 | Fabian Cancellara | Switzerland | + 41 | 4 | Paul Voss | Germany | + 49 | 5 | David Zabriskie | United States of America | + 1'03 | 6 | Cameron Meyer | Australia | + 1'29 | 7 | Jakob Fuglsang | Denmark | + 1'43 | 8 | Bradley Wiggins | Great Britain | + 1'46 | 9 | Jean-Christophe Péraud | France | + 1'49 | 10 | Tom Dumoulin | Netherlands | + 1'50 |
Cancellara couldn't defend his title for a fifth time, and instead hands it over to his main rival, Martin. Rosseler was a positive surprise in second, just missing out on the gold. Also Voss in fourth was very impressive. Best Project rider was obviously Fuglsang, still in good form from the Vuelta. 7th aint bad!
World Road Championships - Firenze
1 | Simon Gerrans | Australia | 7h47'25 | 2 | Philippe Gilbert | Belgium | s.t. | 3 | Andy Schleck | Luxembourg | s.t. | 4 | Francesco Gavazzi | Italy | s.t. | 5 | Peter Kennaugh | Great Britain | s.t. | 6 | Joaquim Rodriguez | Spain | s.t. | 7 | Peter Sagan | Slovakia | s.t. | 8 | Sergio Henao | Colombia | s.t. | 9 | Giovanni Visconti | Italy | s.t. | 10 | Jan Bakelants | Belgium | s.t. |
Belgium and Italy failed in the finale, by being unable to deliver their leader to gold even though they had several riders in the small group. Gilbert at least got the silver medal, while Italy even missed the podium completely. Gerrans was by far the fastest in the final sprint, and won this very weird race.

Great to see Fuglsang being able to compeed in the WC, a 7th place against those TT beasts is a great ride

Pelli, my 1000th post is for you and your amazing story. It is my all-time favorite (haven't been around for long here), and it's a shame it has to end soon. Good result in the World Championships, good luck with the coming races!

Sorry for the lack of updating during the past week. Have been very busy with school.
Thanks all for the nice words.
@ fcancellara - Wow, thanks a thousand times!
@ emmea - Really liked the stages. Great job.
Unfortunately, I've got some bad news too. The save game seems to be breaking apart, leaving me unable to play any races in 3D. Fortunately there were just a couple of races left of the season. Either way, no more reports from races. Still coming up is a summary from the year though! Sorry for the problems.
To give you something to do while I prepare the final season summary, I'll let you vote for who you think should receive the Vélo d'Or award. Then I'll compare the results here to those in game.
The nominees are:
Sylvain Chavanel - Paris-Roubaix winner
Damiano Cunego - Giro champion
Jakob Fuglsang - Vuelta champion
Simon Gerrans - World champion
Philippe Gilbert - King of the Ardennes with a triple
Vincenzo Nibali - Giro runner-up and multiple stage winner
Joaquim Rodriguez - Milano-San Remo winner and Tour fifth
Frank Schleck - Tour winner
Gert Steegmans - Ronde van Vlaanderen winner
Jurgen Van den Broeck - Giro third

I'll vote for Jakob, just because nobody expected him to do this
