If nothing else, all the Premiership teams will stop it.
The best team for English players in the Premiership last season was West Ham who fielded 6.6 English players per game
The worst team was Arsenal, who fielded 0.3 English players per game

Im opposed to the national quotas. It will end up weaking the national leagues in nations with no strong presence of homegrown talents.

well, most Danes go elsewhere. So maybe they will stay in Denmark if these rules are introduced

I expect the EU will, but there could be some kind of compromise put in place where the number of non-EU players will be limited to the same amount in all leagues.
Seems I was right. EU has just announced that it's illegal to have such a rule, and that it won't be implented. |

The rule is against a vital part of EU's core principles - and therefore I don't think that it will be implemented.. So don't worry about it ..
FIFA can't do shit if EU is against it.. That's just the hierarchy hehe
Btw there is a RUMOUR that says that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eto'o should switch clubs.. The source = Zlatan's agent

In the EUFA cup Man City will be ranked above FA Cup winners, Portsmouth and will be seeded all the way to the group stages
Also, Cristiano Ronaldo's godfather has said that Ronaldo has already decided to go to Real Madrid.

Oooh I realle hope he'll stay with Man Utd..
But I don't count on it.. Real Madrid is the biggest club for every spanish player .. Actually for all players in the region.. That can't be discussed because it's just the way it is.. Shame .. |

Sure, go right ahead with the 6+5 rule. All brazillians get automatic portuguese nationality here, so it won't really affect anything.
(in case anyone's wondering, it's an agreement between all portuguese speaking countries. a person from one of those countries gets automatic nationality in another just by entering the country. and loses it by leaving the country) |

FIFA and the EU are going to have a big battle over this rule.
There's only going to be one winner, but FIFA have decided to press on anyway
Ronaldo won't leave because Man Utd will just refuse to sell him

no.
like all people, players have preferences. I for one if I was a player, I'd die before I'd sign for Real or any other club that feeds off corruption. Do you think a player like Torres or Puyol would ever sign for Real? not likely.
Ronaldo likes Real. good for him. don't turn this into a generalization for all Iberians

Okay sorry about that.. Of course there are some player who would never sign with R. Madrid .. Puyol, Xavi and so on .. Most of the players from F.C Barcelona and Atletico Madrid probaby wouldn't sign with R. Madrid.. But I'll take a guess now.. About 90 % of the players would sign with R. Madrid if they had the chance |

Dunne is a big loss. Hugely underrated, he is one of the best defenders currently in the Premier League, and along with Micah Richards, I'd have said they formed the best defensive partnership in the Premier League, with the possible exception of Ferdinand/Vidic

It seems that Michael Laudrup has finally been placed into a box where he can sit and be happy. According to both the newspaper Marca and his agent, all that lack for him to sign a 2-year deal with Panathinaikos is formalities. Does this mean that Waghlon will have to start yelling words like "Zorba", "Toga" and "Mousakka" at random occasions?
