I believe what I calculated was pretty much correct... Not down to the exact second, but almost. |

So I guess it's between Contador, Di Luca, Menchov, Simoni and Ricco.

Yeah but right now it looks like it's the riders who can time trial who will come away with this. These two stages this weekend was the toughest stages and we won't see so high deficits as we did today on any other stage later in this Giro. The likes of Ricco, Di Luca and Simoni need to gain a lot of time before the final time trial and the way they were riding today I don't see them gaining that much on Contador before the final stage. Surely he could crack and I really thought he would do that after Passo Giau, but apparently Ricco isn't as strong as he needs to be, otherwise he would surely have attacked on the next climb or before the final 5 kilometres on the final climb at the very least.
Ricco, Di Luca and Simoni have to be a lot more aggresive to get away from Contador decisively and judging from their efforts today I simply can't see them doing that.

I swear he was 18 minutes bakc after yesterdays stage - it was probably before that would make more sense
still doubt he'll win it
would like him to though

According to Cyclingnews.com he was:
26 Emanuele Sella (Ita) CSF Group Navigare 7.33
before this stage, and by the 2'30 +20sec bonus he is now within 5mins. |

This my own calculations btw, so it might not be all that correct... I think that Ricco, Pozzovivo and Sella got some bonus's which i haven't put in, plus the seconds might not be entirely correct. |

Yeah the individual time trial right? That's exactly what my point was. Ricco, Di Luca and Simoni (or Menchov and Bruseghin for that matter) can't gain enough time on Contador before the penultimate stage, wher he will most likely take a lot of time on each and everyone of them (maybe not on Bruseghin, but he looks to be the weakest climber of the favourites right now).
