Looks like this is where the sprinter teams take charge.

For some reason only Vacansoleil are willing to work in the peloton right now.

Garzelli tries with an attack in front but cracks as soon as he accelerates thus only acting as fuel to the other breakers.
With 2,5 km left Bole has almost reeled in the breakers while the other sprinters are moving ahead.
If Rabon looks behind with 1,5 km to go he will see CCC and Sky coming fast. And lose the stage due to lack of concentration so good thing he didn't.
1 km to go and it looks like Abundi vs Hanzen. The MTN rider here is Kennedy and not Guido as could be expected.
But the two main sprinters have spent too much time in the wind and are suddenly passed by a bunch of other riders.
Dermot Walker surprisingly the fastest right now inspired by his teammate Hägg’s win a few days ago.

Once again the organizers have neglected to paint a finish line, but Calzone doesn’t need one to know he has won!
He simply held his sprint back longer than the others giving him that slight bit extra in the end.

Man, I'd love to see Walker take our last win of the season after securing our first. But maybe next race. Proper results by him in Hainan so far though. 
Since Walker wouldn't have won anyway, I'm all too happy that Calzone takes the win then. He'll crush season 2.

Today’s break has no problem establishing. They are Marangoni (CAN), Rabon (OPQ), Failli (VIN), El Fares (SOJ) and Day (UHC).

The usual teams are pulling the weight behind.

5 km to go. Marangoni tries to make the break last with CCC and Vacansoleil coming in the last moment behind once again.
