I once read that Quintana can achieve 7 wt/kg, of course he is so small that his lack of weight is helping but, is that number real or just an exageration? |

All depends on length of time for which they can sustain it. Sprinters can get 15-23 w/kg during last 500 meters. Olympic 100 m runners can get 25 w/kg for those 10 sec or so.
7 w/kg for 1-2 kms is not a big deal but for 15-20 kms will be suspicious.

I love the fact that some people are not afraid to speak up. Well done Kennaugh. |

At a press conference held during Tuesday’s press conference, Rodriguez addressed Deignan’s claims, saying, “”I read about it this morning, and I am surprised to hear about this two days after it happened. There was nothing to it, nothing more than circumstances of the race. You get tangled up, not just with him, but 40,000 times. There are always going to be a few bumps. It certainly was not as exaggerated as he made it out to be. I certainly do not give it any importance. At the moment, we excused ourselves, and made up.”

Well, seems like a non-issue to me. Maybe non-Katusha/non-Sky riders will adress it today since - according to Deignan's article - some riders in the peloton saw it (“As Rodriguez' punch was greeted with a chorus of shouts from the rest of the peloton, I warned him that I'd deal with him off the bike" ).
In other news, Uran abandoned from the Vuelta.

So if John D could lighten up my birthday by winning the stage and keeping the small hope of having the jersey at the end alive, I'd be a decently happy man for a few hours today.

Well....It doesn't seem like Kennaugh has seen the episode? It's kinda stupid to judge Purito only based on Deignan's story. I'm not saying Purito didn't punch him, I would just like some of the others riders who has seen the episode to speak up, before picking a side.
Present:
Tinkoff-Saxo - AG2R - Colombian riders
Past:
Francisco Mancebo - Illes balears - Carlos Sastre - Kelme - Robbie McEwen

They left that catch late. Victory appears to go to Degenkolb however, with Matthews second going by that camera angle.

Oh hello, Koldo Fernandez appears to have remembered how to sprint and gotten in the top 10...
In the end Stuyvens did not even get third, Cancellara held his lead out for him all the way to the line and third place.
