Back to the actuall giro, Menchov has impressed me, maybe a gc contender.

Michael Creed, recently dismissed by Rock Racing, says the housing conditions set up by the team at the Joe Martin Stage Race were the following:
35 dollars a night motel, with 6 riders in the same room.
Plus, the taem hasn't paid the riders their 2008 bonuses (around 6-10 thousand dollars each)

Well he hasn't really had the chance to show what he is good for this year, and alot could have happened to him as a rider during the winter. In fact, I don't think we have seen him in the mountains since Tour de l'Avenir in 06 . He also probably is at the part of his career where he is progressing fastest. |
