One of the best matches I have ever seen. It was great, and I enjoyed every minute. When Terry were on his way to penalty area I was thinking that I could live with Chelsea winning this, solely because it had been such a great match, showing that the teams are equally good.
I'm not going to say that any team deserved to win. As I said, they were equally good if you look at the entire match. Whereas Lampard had had a few shots on the crossbar, United had several opportunities 100 % chances which shouldn't have been missed.
I know some will complain about the grass and stuff. It's important to remember, though, that both teams had the same conditions. When Terry slipped and missed the penalty, Van der Sar had slipped when Lampard scored. Tevez had slipped several times at rather important places, etc. And the referee? As I said earlier in this thread, both Evra and Tevez could have been sent off early due to their stupid ways of behaving. And I was rather shocked when Drogba was sent off.. I mean, yes, you can't hit another player, but several other and much worse things had been done throughout the match
And one last thing: As Crommy mentioned, Chelsea players were quite stupid at the 'fight'. They had done the exact same thing themselves earlier in the match, but when Tevez does it, it's not okay?
For a United fan, this is absolutely priceless:

The rules are clear, just dont react or touch the player after the initial incident. Its clear he should have been sent of, and he would have been taking the penalty that Terry took, so they could have won it. It was his own stupidity and overall i think he deserves it. He is one of the biggest moaners and divers i have ever seen in the proffesional game and if this is what young players are aspiring to be then i dont think he should be allowed to play. I mean yes sometimes a dive can look convincing, but some of Drogba's are just so blatent its cringe worthy. Man Utd won in the end and i think they were deserving.
Other News:
-Manchester City are persuing Ricardo and another portuguese striker (unamed, maybe Postiga) in an effort to bring Scolari to the club. Ricardo has fallen out of favour at betis so they should get him, but then Hart wont be playing first team.
-Tottenham are targeting a £10 million bid to bring diego Milito to the club. Zaragoza have been relagated so he wants to leave and they have given up on Eto'o who wanted over £100,000-a-week contract!!
-Sidwell is set to complete a £5 million move to villa
-Mark Schwarzer is on his way to bayern munich after accepting a contract offer
-And alan Curbishley is ready to offload Dean Ashton and Anton Ferdinand in an effort to raise enough cash to bring big signings to the club.
-Oh and Millwall FC have signed Manchester City youngster Ashley Grimes on a free transfer

Roberto de Assis, Ronaldinho's brother and agent, is in Thailand (or will be soon) to meet up with Thaksin Shinawatra and discuss terms. AC Milan are pretty much out of contention for signing Ronaldinho because they think he's over-priced, so it seems Man City are the only team left.
Oh, he only wants a megre £200,000 per week.

Roberto de Assis played over here a few years. he sucked. played for Sporting and E.Amadora.
He brought a 16 year old Ronaldinho to Amadora for a try-out. Amadora refused to sign him. 750 euros a week was too high a salary.
so he went back to brazil... |

Breaking News: Chelsea sack Avram Grant
and Hull have been promoted to the Premiership, due to beating Bristol Rovers 1-0 at Wembley. 39-year-old Dean Windass scored the winning goal. It had to be either Windass or Barmby to score really

Avram Grant has been sacked by Chelsea, on the day José Mourinho broke his long silence on his successor at Stamford Bridge by criticising the Israeli's failure to win a single trophy. The Portuguese went on to suggest that the football philosophy of his successor is that of 'a loser'.
Joseeeeee Mourinhooo is back to kick one a**... As a Chelsea manager again, it seems.

Did he definitely sign with them?
Guardian wrote:
Mourinho is likely to take over from Roberto Mancini at Internazionale and may sign a contract with the Serie A club this week. He has already drawn up plans for next season and is likely to take striker Didier Drogba with him to Italy. |

no, but he's given every indication. the last interview he gave, he said that he would only consider a big club and only in spain or italy.
He also said that in spain only Barça and Real are big clubs and that, as such, italy is the only real option

All English media seem to think that Mourinho will go back to Chelsea. Does anyone know what they base that on?
Also, I just read that Marca, a Spanish newspaper, have been looking in Real Madrid's car park and have found a car with a label on which says "Christiano Ronaldo"

Well the fact that Chelsea has bought José Bosingwa for the Right Back next year is a clear indication that Mourinho is still in charge imo... |

how does that make sense?
by that logic, he's also in charge at Man Utd, since they were the first to bid for Bosingwa but were refused. not to mention Atl. Madrid, Valencia, Juventus, etc. since we've gotten bids from all those clubs for some of our best players

Mourinho wrote that he will sign with Inter in next week. Or at least there is a rumour that says so. He wrote a sms to Michael Essien that says that he will sign with Inter and furthermore he asked Essien whether he would be interested in a move to Inter with Mourinho.
Edit: The rumours says that Sven Goran Eriksson will be the new manager in Chelsea But it's only rumours and there are a lot of them these days ..
