These eight riders have been away since the flag was dropped to start the race, they have had a maximum advantage of 8m 43s but is now just over six minutes. They are Day/United Healthcare, Chalapud/Colombia Coldeportes, Anacona/Lampre, Cappelle/Accent Jobs, Santaromita/BMC Racing, Alarcon/Efapel Glassdrive, Delaplace/Saur Sojasun and Gnezda/Adria Mobil

As expected Garmin Sharp are ruling the front of the peleton, making sure the break doesn't become to far away

The breakaway is on the descent of the second major climb of the day

Chalapud/Colombia Coldportes and Santaromita/BMC Racing are the only two riders left from the break of the day as the Garmin led peleton begins to sweep them all up

Only forty seven riders remain in the main group as all of the days climbing has taken its toll on at least two thirds of the pack

Attacks are coming one after another and this time its Feillu of Saur Sojasun who is trying to disrupt the momentum in the pack

Antomarchi/Team Type 1 gets to the front to try and disrupt the Garmin train

Race leader Kreder is the first rider to pass under the red kite

But he can't beat the sprinting power of Simon Geschke of Argos Shimano who takes the spoils today

Well that was a day of suffering for the guys today, but at least we kept Jure in the top ten

Our first rider to finish the course is Laszlo Bodrogi who produces a time of 26m 24s for the 18.4km test

Brent Bookwalter of BMC Racing manages it 12s faster

De Maar of UnitedHealthcare tries but will finish the day in 34th place

Maciej Bodnar of Liquigas sets the new fastest time of 25m 32s

One of the stage favourites David Zabriskie of Garmin-Sharp was next to start but would be 12s slower than Bodnar

Taylor Phinney would set the Best time of the day of 24m 46s, a time that would secure him the race win

His Team mate Marco Pinotti would make it a 1-2 on the day for the BMC Team

Well we didn't get the result we wanted here in Slovenia, the aim was a top ten for Jure Kocjan and the best we could do was 28th

Well i just have to say that we have received the Best news ever before the start of today's race and that is that Team Sky have only entered one rider (Ben Swift) due to other race commitments, so it means we will be crowned Champions if we manage to secure just one point

Four riders make up the first real break of today's race, Dempster of Endura Racing, Grenda of Rapha Condor, Miyazawa of Saxobank and Davis of Node4 Giordana

They have opened up a lead of 2m 51s

An Post Sean Kelly and Farnese Vini are both at the front of the bunch trying to close the gap but are not having much effect

Guarnieri of Astana and Hulsmans of Farnese Vini are trying there best to get across to the four leaders

Fabio Calabria of Team Type 1 has hit the ground very hard on a fast corner, lets hope he is ok

The catch has been made and we now have six riders in the lead group but they only have 27s advantage back to the pack

The break is caught at the one kilometre to go banner and its Oss of Liquigas who makes the first move for the line

But he gets outwitted by the Astana rider Guarnieri who beats him to the line quite easily

Well what can i say, Halfords Tour Series Winners at our first attempt, although it would have been hard tonight had Sky been present.
11 hard rounds of racing which have been fast and furious and a real opener to us all here at Team Type 1.
Let's hope we can come back next year and give it a good showing again
