Still laughing at Florentino Perez and Real Madrid here

For selling an inconsistent, highly injury prone, high salaried player for 25 Million and bringing in a player that has done in half a season a helluva lot more than what Robben ever did for Real Madrid? For getting a player that is, in my opinion, one of the most intelligent players there is and selling another one that is a little bit weaker than him? Or are they better than Ronaldo and Kaká because they score one important goal?

Kaka has been shit all season and C.Ronaldo never does anything good in IMPORTANT matches Wink

And yes indeed, because they score for their clubs at DECISIVE moments Wink Something your precious Real lads have failed to do.

Robben and Sneijder >>> Kaka and C.Ronaldo. Hard for a Real fanboy to accept, but true, at the moment.

Oh, yeah, because I don't agree with you, I must be a fanboy. I'm not even a fan of the club but I must be a fanboy to have a different opinion than the almighty ruben. You're simply hopeless... Get over yourself please Rolling Eyes

And I'm not even going to try to explain to you the irony of you calling someone else a fanboy or what is wrong with your assumptions (and believe me, I have a huge list).

Sneijder isn't weaker than Kaka. Sneijder was kicked out of Real Madrid because he got the daughter of a member of the directive board of the club pregnant. That's it.

And Kaka isn't such a good player. He's the typical player which plays for 20 min/match. He usually does a lot in that time, but a player who is nowhere for 70 min per match isn't worth 65M.

KAka may be shit this year but I still like him for his cool name. Kind of like that noise a bird makes. Ka Ka.

It's sickening to hear. Arjen Robben has like 10 good matches a season due to his high injury prone. Those 10 are sublime though, and if he wasn't injured for 3/4 of a season he would be top 5 in the world, but he isn't and thus a pretty good deal to get rid of him.

Cristiano Ronaldo have been the best player in the world for the past 3 years consistent imo. Only this year Messi have managed to up his level to Ronaldo at Man Utd level. That he haven't been too good in Real is another matter. You couldn't have concluded that before the transfer as he was simply the best in the world.

Kaka have been the main player of AC Milan for 5? years now, and have a firm place in the Brazil lineup for just as long (or longer). Saying that he is doing 20 good minutes once in a while is shit. He was to Milan what Diego and Gerrard was to Werder Bremen and Liverpool. The decisive player that could crack any match wide open. He would seal important games and thus being one of the most important players in AC Milan history.

Wesley Sneijder is a fantastic player, but would he be able to play if Real had their best possible lineup ready? No! And as a consequense hereby he wanted a change. Nothing spectacular there. Sneijder is a great player but simply cannot match Cristiano Ronaldo nor Kaka.

Come on, mr. 100% patriotic Ruben. You have always been the type that means if Twente beats Valencia, and Valencia then beats Barcelona the week after, then Twente >>> Barcelona.

Get a grip or grow up. It's about time.

The true irony here is that they want Ribery and are ready to pay a lot for him ... while Robben, who's just as good, was pretty much kicked out of the club.

Well I'm not to defend the actions of Real Madrid as they have always been extremely strange. They have always looked at the name rather than the contribution the player could do. As I see it it's a blank shot of luck when they occasionally wins something (In recent years)

I just can agree p3druh. I really don`t like C.Ronaldo, but what he did in Manchester was incredible, he is definitly better than a Robben or Sneider, what also depends on Robben`s injury problems. There was a reason why they called him "glass bone"(not sure about the real english word, but it should be clearly what i mean) in Madrid.
Kaka`s problem is that he plays a different position than in Mailand or the Selecao. He should be a 10 but is playing a wingman like Ronaldo on the other side.
But for a team who didn`t had to look on the money it`s understandable why they changed a often injured Robben and Sneyder with Kaka and Ronaldo. In my opinion Real increased their level.
Just like you said above, Ruben, "at the moment".
Of course Robben and Sneider
shot important goals last games, but just for a comparison.

Ronaldo shot 25 goals this year, 7 of them in the CL.
Robben shot 13 goals, 3 of them in the CL.
Sneijder 8 goals,
Kaka 8 goals

Please don`t claim others to be Real fanboys, because i am definitly not.

ruben
In the periods Robben wasn't injured, he was compared with messi at Real Madrid, because he kept scoring.
The minute he got injured, Real did a lot worse again.

Ronaldo scores a lot, bot not in important moments, sorry to break it to you. He also always sucks for Portugal at worlds and european champs

But I am repeating myself, because you are not READING.
It's about important goals, important passes, not quantity. Quality is what counts, and in that area, C.Ronalda and Kaka are far behind

It's the importance that counts.
Sneijder puts Drogba free in front of goal with a magnificent pass against Chelsea.
Sneijder gives the assist in the first match against CSKA
Sneijder scores the free kick in the second match against CSKA

Robben scored the decisive goal against Fiorentina after a solo effort and shot far outside the box
Robben scored the decisive goal against Man U after an incredible volley

Not even talking about the group matches (Juventus)
Importance >>>>>>> Quantity

Ronaldo is the most arrogant football player ever who thinks he´s the best player even he makes nothing but crap....
It was definately a mistake to pay so much money to get him to Real

CrueTrue
Oh dear.

Ronaldo thinks that he's the best ... not really weird since he was named the World Player of the Year in 2008.

In 27 games for Real Madrid, he has scored 25 goals. Feel free to say that he doesn't score in important matches (I haven't bothered to check, but I do seem to remember a goal in a Champions League final as well as several goals in semi finals and quarter finals for United...), but scoring that many goals is unique and very important for a team.

I'm not a fan of Ronaldo, but saying that it was a mistake to buy him and that he's "crap and does nothing" -- that's stupid.

And saying that Robben/Sneijder are just as good? *sigh*

No I'm saying they are better

The fact that I blindly hate Ronaldo does help in that matter.
And the best footballer is by far Messi, nobody even rates compared to him
Maradona but improved.

On Sunday, I'll probably also scream at Bjarne Riis for making Breschel work for Cancellara - but I'm Danish, so people don't really care Wink It's nationalism.

Same goes for your Robben/Sneijder & Ronaldo-hate Grin

... we can easily agree, though, that Messi's the world best.

Nationalism or favoritism is what makes following sports fun.
I never said I was objective in this matter Grin

kumazan
No, I'll play devil's advocate here, because Ronaldo hate has NOTHING to do with nationalism. I'll hate he even if he was my neighbor. He's just stupid and arrogant. Football's Armstrong.

And nationalism is bad everytime, everywhere. It is funnier to follow sport without national bias, but hey, it is your choice.
