A Danish sports journalist had an interesting theory.
You could see that Armstrong was very disappointed not to get the jersey on the TTT. In his good ol' days, it's been the opposite - he didn't want the shirt until it was absolutely needed. So, the journalist says that that's a sign that Armstrong knows he can't keep up.
So, on this stage where the climb isn't that steep, Contador will help Armstrong to the yellow jersey - and as a thank you, Armstrong will help Contador during the rest of the Tour. |
