Wow this has got to be my worst weekend ever, sportswise.
Arsenal defeat
Kessler defeat
and now the Ravens sums it up nicely by also earning a defeat.

For Doddy..Pats are dominating against Jets.
It has been great sunday..
Best game so far Lions-Browns..

Yeah watching the HUGE difference between the Bronco's with Simms and Orton.
And Pats blowout 21-0 looks good to me.

Not to mention the 9-1 beat down Spurs served up. Yeah, it was against Wigan, but still, all you Arsenal fans hate the Spurs. |

Not as much a Spurs fans hate us, they all get annoyed when we take some clubs more serious than them. |

shh no Soccer talk in here. This is the football thread.
Also, as funny as last night was. The bengals lost to the raiders... thats just as funny as the Chiefs winning the Steelers.

ok..interesting reading..
https://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_is_Amer...tball'
Did not know much of that..
Favorite part..
It's a reflection of American football's origins.
The first football type of game that colleges played in North America was almost identical to what became soccer: You scored by kicking a goal. But every school had its own rules. That was true even over in England, before the Football Association was created to establish a standard set of rules. Over here in the USA, we had no such governing body, so the schools took it upon themselves to sit down and draw up their own set of rules that everyone could agree on.
And Gridiron seems to be American football "secret name"..
Basically it is football evolution ..but at the some point they started to use hands more then legs
Cycling at most time of the year and Nfl at the winter..life is nice.

I like the fact NFL and cycling seasons almost miss each other, only really clash in September.

week 12 starts in just over an hour.
But.. here's my tips for the Thanksgiving games
Green Bay @ Detroit - Green Bay of course
Oakland @ Dallas - uhhh.. Dallas.
Giants @ Denver - Match of the day, but Giants, the better team.
Now, go enjoy the turkey day games. I will be.

Wow I haven't been here for a while and suddenly the nfl thread is more alive than it has ever been
First, I saw the Colts vs. Pats game two weeks ago, best game I have ever seen wow that was amazing.
About today, im not watching them as the main tv is being occupied here by my dad , but the Giants will defeat the Broncos who are just falling apart. I'm also picking the Raiders over the Cowboys, the last weeks Dallas has played dreadful on offense and it could very well go wrong here for the Cowboys. And lastly, Green Bay wil probably beat Detroit but last week we did see that Detroit may finally have a real franchise quarterback with Stafford. He also has a great receiver with Johnson and a young guy in the backfield (Kevin Smith) if they just improve the o-line and give him more time they have a nice offense.
EDIT: Green Bay's only leading 13-7 but looking at the stats young Stafford is struggling against a Packers D which does have some injury woes...

Boy was I wrong, Cowboys finally show some good things on offense and the Broncos rebound and may have put the Giants out of playoff contention for now, I mean with the Eagles and the Cowboys in front of them and the Packers having a better record it won't be easy.

A team that's 5-5 isn't "the best". It's not about bad luck. |
