although i'd love to see Farrar become an elite sprinter, and i believe he could be, he hasn't proven that. He did well with Dean to position himself, and had an ok finish today. The positioning was better than anyone else (save Cav) today though.
Cavendish said Van Hummel hit him in the sprint preparation, but what turns out to be the story:
Rooijakkers (not Van Hummel) was pushed by Mondory and landed up in the Cavendish train. Cavendish wasn't happy with the Skil rider there and tried to throw Rooijakkers of his bike. Rooijakkers ofcourse defended himself and hit Cavendish.
Cavendish is such an asshole at times. But then again, it seems almost all sprinters are. Only Cipollini and Petacchi were real gentleman sprinters
True. I once heard a story from mr. Dynepo (Dekker) telling us that when he trained with Petacchi, you could never seriously train, because Petacchi stopped at the sight of every nice looking woman to talk to them and halfway the training he would stop and drink coffee and looking at ladies
What you guys talking about..Farrar has been so great at this season.
What you ecpect that he can pass Cavedish after another Columbia perfect train..ofcose not.
One guy can..Ale Jet.
For me there is two new sprinters Haussler and Farra

Of course if its a Dutchman's argument against a Brits argument, the Brit is an asshole according to you
I didnt see the particular incident, so Ill take a look at the replay again before leaping to a conclusion.
You see at 4:10 that a Skil rider "pushes" a Columbia rider to the side, but then the angle switches back to the moto cam

Team Bianchi - 2012 Man-Game ProContinental Tour Champions
after looking at the video a few times it seems to me Cav was the first to push around a bit, then the other rider pushed back. Both stayed upright. No problem.
What i saw was a skill rider forcing his way into the columbia train, cav gave a little push "You're not doing that, think again" and the skill rider over reacted.
There's no point slapping a schleck - Sean Kelly on "Who needs a slap"
Looking at the replay, you can see Cav's arm pushing the Skil rider away from him (as i guess is common in bunch sprints) and then the Skil rider overreacts and tries to knock Cavendish off.
Cavendish seems to act first (no way to tell if any words are spoken), trying to get the less experienced Skil rider out of the way, but then the Skil rider uses more force than Cav did in his reaction.

no, definatly not. he keeps riding where he is, while Cav seems unable to pass him to follow his train.
