A : Cobble riders... Well the best we have Frederik Nolf the Belgium, he will be the leader this year but Blythe has come back to Europe and has already begun training with Nolf in Belgium. Hope that answers your question young man. |

Young man? YOUNG MAN? How insulting ()
What about Aleksandr Pluchkin? I know he is airly good at cobbles, after all I saw him win the Great Cobbled Race of Moldova last year? Is he not training cobbles too? If not, then what will he be focusing on?

Le Tour de Langkawi Stage 1 : Dataran Lang - Underwater world Langkawi
This team is probably one of our strongest climbing team, with Pardilla one of the favourites for the Overall. After quick glance through the startlist that only came out this morning, we could see a few of the favourites, Sandy Casar and Emanuel Sella were the biggest. Sella seemed to be the best mountain climber there...
This tour however was not a strong in the sprint the best guy we had was Klyuev, the russian. "Hes a very good talented sprinter and has got a good chance." said his trainer.
It was a boiling day and yesterday the team went out for 2hours to get ready for today, "I think yesterday was a perfect day to get into the mood and to get ready for the race." said Vincent Peron.
Its a fairly flat short day today and with a sprint definatly on the cards break away would definatly not be let go. To the racing...
We didnt really have anyone lined up on the front and the guys were ready for a relaxing day on the flat.
The attacks came early and Vincent Peron who said he felt good, obviously was and went up the road.
He settled in...
But h the sprint wasnt far off and it disrupted his rythem.
At the second he did better.
The third was a different story, 15km from the line the peleton a eaten the break up and the sprint was taken by Flickinger.
All of a sudden the wheels where quickly moving Klyuev had a perfect one, right on the best sprinter of the race Haddou.
The sprint started to reach top pace...
Haddou was too fast..
Or was he?! People though began to charge on both side can he hold them off?!
YES!! He can what an ammazing sprint wow!
Another great victory for the team of the future!!
He was so happy after the win giving Virgin there second win...
Overall, we would need to defend...
A shocking team prize showing that weird gap!
So what a great day for the team I cant believe we are doing so well flying so high, what do you think.
Coming soon... The interview with the winner and stage 2!! |

Ill start with an injury, Peter Kennaugh has crashed in training and originally it looked like he had broken his thumb but all it was, was bad bruising. He is taken a day off or so to hope the pain gets less and then will return to training.

Le Tour de Langkawi Stage 2 Kangar - Kulim
With team in a very positive soon after yesterdays win the arrived at Kangar feeling strong.
"Yesterdays win made all the teams a bit scared." Said Pardilla
Another hot day help the riders prepear for the second flat stage. Then team were in a definsive mood and had their chasing legs on. The leader Pardilla had to be defended still so he would be in good shape for tomorrow. A big break was expected by the team and they thought that chasing later is better than early.
The riders lined up and were ready to take on the stage
The big attack constisted of 8 strong riders including German Road Race champ Dirk Muller.
The first 2 sprints were easily taken by Savini
The guys began to chase hard and try to get the gap of 6mins down.
Savini again at the 3rd
Just after the 3rd Muller and Auger got away.
With 5km to go they look like they could hold it.
They began to follow...
The sprint started and they had 1.3 km to go...
They were going to get caught! And they did it was a battle for first!
It was so close!
Who won?!
Domoulin thinks its his!
He was right... Damn!
Still yellow heading into the first mountain stage...
Oh you cant win em all...! |
