Stage 8
Sisteron - Cannes
Two stages to run..
de la Fuente at the breakaway today..he has already one breakaway stage win at this season..this is berfect stage to try another one.
Liquigas takes over peloton control..
50km. to go Popo and Langeweld going after him...this is serious Popo is just 1'30 behind at the GC. But there is still lot to run..no need to panic.
Popo has cahsed down then Pozzato and Pinau atack.. at the hill..succesful one..they get away ..
Then Inglisky, Gomes Marcante and Ten Dam..mind game has started. Who will go first?
..not yet Saxo taking over tempo making..no need to atack now..peloton moving real fast.
Then Popo again..this time in downhill section..attempt nr. 2
Schleck finds this is too dangerous..he is going after him.
..then moment later Lopez, Moreau and Dekker..this is enough for Nibali he follows.
Dekker and Nibali going alone..and there is breakaway riders.
when they cach them..popo and Dekker atack..Dekker is super strong today..
This was last hill..now Nibali is trying to cach Dekker on descent.
..also Kreuziger is back at the front group Kirchen follows him..If this stands this way..I try something for Kreuziger today.
front group is formed Nibali, Kreuziger, Casar, Moncoutie, Popo and Kirchen..this isnt over peloton is close.
Schleck and Dekker are coming from peloton..
..then Sastre breaking away..
..sprint Casar opens..Kirchen..Kreuziger.
..and Kirchen takes it..Dekker passes also Kreuziger.
All this effort..but no use..peloton getting s.t.
One stage to run..

Stage 4
Porto Reconati - Civitanova Marche
Stage before TT...
Hugh breakaway group...few names..Jakob Fuglsang, Tonti, Frederic Guesdon, Elia Rigotto. This is chanche for sprinters..because peloton will work together..and sprinters has chanche to survive.
Sprint..Breakaway raiders still at the front (Fuglsang and Tonti)..Bennati feeling ok..he follows Auge backwheel.
Looks to early at the front..Boonen and Freire follows..
..and as I afraid..Boonen has passed and Freire is close..
..Bennati 3rd. today..but no need to be sad..best sprint at Tirreno so far..Petacchi 4th. had no chanche against first 3. Tomorrow is important day..(both races).

Last stage
Nice - Nice
Last stage..we need to protect that jersey..
Nuyens had climbing points yesterday..today he is again out front probablu to get that polka dot jersey.
Ivanov has atacked away from peloton..now we have nice strong pair at the front. They starting work together.
All Saxo Bank team in front of peloton..now it's gonna happening..they ending Ivanov and Nuyens attempt. Now we are back together.
Pineau and Dekker ..first atackers..
Next one is Kirchen..he takes stage lead..all alone
Not for long here comes Dekker, Sastre and Nibali...
Nice lead group is formed..if we keep it this way. Nibali had won Paris-Nice..
Ten Dam, Boyer, Nibali, Dekker, Casar, Sastre..
But now..here comes Saxo bank..whole team..Nibali has gone to early?...one hill to go..all back together..only Kirchen is out there alone.
last hill atack wave ..Lopez, Casar, Moreau..
..and here comes first time today out of the pack Schleck and Sanchez..
Kreuziger trying to counter Schleck..not even close. Schleck is moving to fast..
..and he caches Kirchen who was alone out there..and passes ..Fränk is absolute dominator today. Nibali should chase..he has only min. GC advantage over Schleck
Group nr. 2 is formed.. Chavanel has timed atack well..he is with Moncoutie..Chavanel is grazy enough to atack again and loose Moncoutie in descent.
Chase group..Fredrigo, Barredo, Karpets, Nibali, Moreau, Valverde, Lopez. Nibali was lucky to get into this..he was riding inside all "red" at the hill top..he is taking break a moment and then starting to pull at the front.
Schleck is still getting more time..doesnt look good at all.
Schleck takes first stage win..at this moment he dont know. This is also tour win..great timing.
That would be enough to Nibali ..If he managed to follow Chavanel today..
Nibali comes inside of next froup..1.13 down of winner. This isnt much but enough to loose a tour with 19 sec. (if we add sprint ponuses).
This is actualy good..so far it feeled like to easy..great for me.
Of corse I am happy to get Paris - Nice 2nd. place..
Get point jersey..
Know that Chicchi is usless

Stage 5
TT Macerata - Recanati
At first we have to take a look at GC standings:
1 Philippe Gilbert Silence - Lotto 17h40'46
2 Ivan Basso Liquigas + 8
3 Stijn Devolder Quick·Step + 24
4 Lance Armstrong Astana Cycling Team + 48
5 Danilo Di Luca LPR Brakes Farnese Vini + 54
6 Damiano Cunego Lampre - N.G.C s.t.
7 Mikel Astarloza Euskaltel - Euskadi s.t.
8 Antonio Colom Team Katusha s.t.
9 Alejandro Valverde Caisse d'Epargne s.t.
10 George Hincapie Team Columbia - High Road s.t.
This is gonna be probably between Devolder, Armstong , Basso, but why not also Hinacapie and Cunego.
First serious time today..Roessler 15. (+1'15)
Bennati was moving ok today...18. (+1'24)
Kiryenka 22. (+1'28)
Clement 20 (+1'26)
Zabriskie 2. (+31 sec.)
Vaugrenard 19. (+1'25)
Gusev 10. (+54 sec. )
Bruseghin 5th. (+39 sec.)
Gutierrez 12. (+57 sec.)
Levi 6th. (+45 sec.)
Contador 9. (+53 sec.)
Menchov 8. (+48 sec.)
Pellizotti was hugh dissapoitment...52. (+2'08)
Big George ..another great TT..3. (+37 sec.)
Valverde 16. (+1'17)
Mikel Astarloza 11. (+ 55sec. )
Cunego 14. (+1'13)
Then things are turned to be realy exiting..I was so focus following times that forget to take any screenshots..how it was:
At first Di Luca..+ 1'36..that means he have to give up 4 places at the GC 9th. now
Then Armstrong..he blasts best time..over 30 sec. lead. I dodnt expect that someone will beat him today..about GC..he takes a lead he need to wait Devolder and Basso.
Then Devolder ..+37 sec. behind Lance..Armstron is tour leader..now just Basso..as threat.
Basso +46 sec. ..close..after calculation Armstrong taking tour lead..Basso is just 6 sec. behind..and Devolder is close.
Last rider in the race..tour leader Gilbert 43. (+1'57)..after today's race he is in 6th. place at the GC

Stage 6
Civitanova Marche - Castelfidardo
Two stages to run...there is just 6 sec. betwen Armstrong and Basso..but this needs a miracle to beat him..If we look race profiles..
..hugh breakaway group..
Last small hill..after that descent and sprint. Pellizotti trying something after yesterday hugh dissapoitment..he atacks after breakaway group..
He caches them..little break and he lauches another one..Froome follows.
They get away..but probably not for long..peloton is coming..
Pellizotti opens the sprint..O'Grady, Petacchi, Bennati, Freire together at the left side..lonely Euskaltel rider is Koldo Fernandez
O'Grady is leading..Petacchi trying to pass him. Boonen closing fast...
O'Grady keep the lead..first stage win at Tirreno..Bennati looses 3rd. place to Freire at the line..

Stage 7
S.Benedetto del Tronto - S.Benedetto del Tronto
Last stage to run...pure sprinters show.
Last sprint finish..before final sprint. All favorites there at the front..Boonen, Bennati, O'Grady..We have realy open situation at the points classification..this is all about it.
..and Boonen refuces to go back to the group. He is going for solo..Bennati was there he is only one who follows.
Boonen asking to work together..peloton is close. Bennati refuses..he likes stage to have stage win...and points jersey.
..and Boonen keep on working at the front..he is realy strong..peloton should work hard..they are closing..
..sprint..and Boonen opens the sprint..how much energy this riders have?
Bennati is only one who is able to cach him..Bennati trying to pass him..not even inch..
..and Boonen takes it. This was something amazing..Bennati was holding himself back..Bennati is close to top form..but still after such a hugh effort Boonen not giving him a chanche. Boonen is now Milano - San Remo nr.1 favorite and also same goes for cobble races.
It is over now..second place at the GC..sponsors are happy (season goal -inside 3rd. Tirreno- Adriatico).
Bennati get point jersey...(without a stage win)
I have to think something to Pellizotti..with Basso he will always in he's shadow..maybe I play a little over Giro and TdF starters.

If I look the startlist..I have 3 names to afraid a most..guys who can survive over that last hill and still sprint hard enough..Davis, Freire and Boonen
Sentjens, Gusev and Maaskant..first serious breakaway attempt..(after hopless one)..
then Maaskant and Gusev are alone at the front..but peloton is coming back
Peloton is back together..when I decided to take my flat breakaway attempt..and best man for that is Quinziato..
..and they I already understand..this was mistake..at behind coming..Maaskant , Voigt and Hoste..What I have done?
Last hill..Maaskant is first who cant follow..Hoste is strongest..Quinziato is exausted..he is waiting peloton..
..and here they come..all back together. And Saxo bank taking control and started to pull..real hard. There is not rider who is not suffering now..grazy speed.
..at the peak..peloton is destroyed..about 40 riders group getting away Kreuziger and Pellizotti helping Bennati has long possible..then descent..
at the flat before finish..another breakaway attempt..Ballan, Devolder and Cancellara..
Liquigas sending Pellizotti after them..no chanche..Hoste has no legs also. But Flecha is off..
..again all back together. Now the sprint..Ballan crashes..
Boonen opens..I remember him at the Tirreno...impossible to cach..Freire..Davis..Bennati..Cancellara...Steegmans..Valverde...Elmiger..Pozzato..
Arvesen..O'Grady..terrible list
Boonen have hugh advantage..Freire is trying to keep up. Bennati has open road ahead..3rd. place is open.
Boonen takes it..wach out cobble guys. Then Freire, Steegman, Davis, Bennati.
5th...what to say. After that sprint inside that group I was pleased to be in that place..

Stage 1
Riccione - Riccione
Hugh breakaway group getting away..this has been sleepy start for Liquigas..they did not get any rider into this.
Last and only hill..breakaway group is still out there. They can actualy make it..
atack McLeod, Kocian, Giuseppe Palumbo, Fognini and Scholz.
At the hill top two riders are at the front Scholz and Palumbo.
..a little behind at the same climb..peloton arrives..panic..Samoilau and Soler are first atackers..
No chanche..they are back ..then Pozzovivo..
Moments later Axelsson, Ten Dam and Capecchi..quite a mess on that hill.
Pellizotti decided he has been waited enough..he atack's with Bruseghin.
..just intresting shot. I find Portugal fun ..who seems to be looking he' s favorite raider..and he looks worried..
Downhill..Pellizotti timing was great..he is into 8 riders group..wich is chasing breakaway riders. ..Bruseghin, Chavanel, Pellizotti, Ten Dam, McLeod, Capecchi, Kocjan, Fognini.
two guys still out there..when sprint starts Ronny Scholz easy passes Palumbo.
Pellizotti group arrives +35 sec. later.
..and Milram raider takes tour lead..
