Well, if it ends like this, they will only get half the points of a normal race.

I wasn't watching the race but I guess the diffusers really are making a huge difference...

It was a crazy, yet brilliant race. Great to watch once again.
Button was incredible - bad start yes, so only 3rd going into the pits, but coming out of it he was in the lead comfortably. Then managing the rain well enough to stay in front and win.
Great gamble from Glock there aswell, it really worked out for him. So funny that as soon as everyone started copying him and going onto inters, the rain got worse so they had to go back onto the full wets.

Like Button...he went put the intermediates one lap before the rain starts to fall like hell. The next lap, Glock entered pit to put full wets and then, one lap after, Button enters the pit again.

Incredible drama! It's hard in a way on the drivers that survived those terrible conditions in the top 8 that they have to settle for half points. I'm not surprised that Bourdais was screaming for the race to be stopped - he has to wear glasses!
It's a great start to the season for Button. He drove very well again today |

Yeh, Button actually did very well to do a lap in inters and then pit, faster than Glock did a pit followed by a lap in wets. |

Massa poweeeerxD Doubt Ferrari will own anything this season lol, neither will Mclaren.
If the appeal against the diffusers is won on the 14th April (with i doubt very much, since the cars passed the FIA car check during the first 2 races of the season, meaning nothing was found that ain't in consent with the rules) Imo the best chances will lay with Redbull who have proven to have the most competitive car without a diffuser. |

Every car in the history of formula 1 since the mid 1970s has had a diffuser. And in every single one of those cars the diffuser has been by far the most important part of the aerodynamics, as the very concept of a diffuser means tremendous downforce with very little drag penalty.
Quite simply the Brawn, Williams and Toyota use better diffusers.
The other teams are complaining only because they didn't think of that particular type of diffuser.
Formula 1 has always been a lot about innovation. Those teams innovated and are reaping the benefits. End of.
We'll see when everyone gets to the european races where the other teams should have their own versions ready......except McLaren who have been using the same kind of diffuser since the very beginning of the season and still can't touch the others' pace.

Like i said i doubt the appeal against the diffusers will be won. Just incase it would happen i think the best chances lay with Redbull.
Are you sure Mclaren are using the same kind of diffuser as Brawn, Toyota and Williams? Cuz there not mentioned in the appeal with they would have been, if they were using the same kind of diffuser. |

100% sure. They didn't test with it though. They just showed up in Australia with it. |
