A dream victory of Vicioso in deed
The Pro Tour Rankings will be posted in the end of the month but I can tell we're not at the bottom anymore
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
During Vuelta al PaÃs Vasco we entered two other races: Volta ao Alentejo and Gent-Wevelgem. The belgian race was obviously going to be lead by O’Grady but did he do something out of it?
Gent-Wevelgem
I should have known that O’Grady alone wouldnt be able to face teams like Quick Step…
He’s going to risk everything in the hell of the north with an EPO dosage for elephants…maybe this time he can do somehting good!
Stuart O’Grady 19th…

Paris-Roubaix
O’Grady was really looking good on this one than I thought he could come up with a far better result than in the other Classics. But he didn’t…
It was fun to race though!
This is what happens when your team doesnt have Cobble riders:
I was expecting something like this… but not with 165km to go!!!
O’Grady was left alone in the peloton with nobody to grab him some bottles.
Meanwhile Ballan crashed and was out of the race
Quick Step wasn’t in a mood to bring Boonen so the all team was lead by Devolder. The Belgian then followed Ballan’s example as you can see in this painfull picture (just look where the bike is going to hit him).
He first attempt came from Nuyens. Burghardt and Cancellara jumped to pursuit him. O´Grady took the swiss’ wheel.
Cancellara got alone in the front while the others remained in a chasing group. O’Grady was tired of carrying bottles in the pack and didn’t last long.
Eventually he ended up in a group featuring Gusev, Rast and Breschel. He relayed the group for almost 10km and when they reached the Velodrome the aussie stopped a bit to admire it but nobody told him the cement at the entrance was stil fresh and so they got stock there for some seconds.
Cancellara won with a great performance but the audience wasn’t much excited…
O’Grady finished after Gusev which turned out to be another awful performance by him…
Stuart O’Grady 16th….
Terrible Results… nobody else in the team was able to finish
Fun to race though!!

Oh I see...
well he wasnt getting any valuable place so he was slowly making the pace slower...
but as the other cyclists in the group were in a really anoying mood they didnt bother helping the australian which made him very angry
so in some kind of protest to the others he stopped... but ridiculously none of them passed to the front!!!
Thats why they all stopped...

Amstel Gold Race
After Keutenberg the penultimate climb a strong group was ahead of the peloton and they would fight for the victory, all the favourites were in it.
Before the final climb Dekker and Schleck got a minor gap on the others. Di Luca was with them!!
Dekker was left back. Only Schleck and Di Luca at the front, but suddenly Kroon passes through them like a rocket. Di Luca tried to follow him!!
At the final hill, Kroon had a 15’’ gap for the others when the sprint started!!
Di Luca was losing speed he wasn’t wining this one…still a top ten was guaranteed
At the front the fight was between Kroon, Valverde and Dekker!!
But it was Kroon at last. He managed to beat Valverde in the final sprint. Great victory!!

La Flèche Wallone
At about half of the race the peloton splited and some of the favorites were left behind maybe due to the wind. The bunch only got together again when there were 20km to go.
The first serious attacks came as expected in the Côte de Ben-Ahin the penultimate climb. F. Schleck lead the way
Valverde, Sanchez, Cunego and Di Luca went right after him
In the descent Di Luca and Sanchez built a gap to the chasing group which included all the favorites.
At the botton of the Mur de Huy they were 30’’ ahead of the others and Di Luca got Sanchez wheel. Nothing could go wrong now!
Only 1km to go… but huh!!! What was this?! Kroon again!! No way
And who the hell are these?? Noooo not again…Once more Di Luca gave it all away in the final sprint…
The italian finished among the AG2R riders, along with Cunego. Another disapointement… Ah by the way… Valverde won!

Liege – Bastogne – Liege
Our sixth most important race for our sponsors. Di Luca had to get a good result at this one
As the Spanish won the last race he got to the top of PT rankings. Today he was easy to spot!
The race was so exciting that gave a fan the power to fly over Nibali and Arroyo’s heads!!
Trofimov was the first to attack in the peloton at Côte du Maquisard along with Visconti and Ivanov.
In the terrible Côte de La Redoute Sanchez, Popovych and Kirchen tried their luck.
In the descent it was Evans time!
Finally at Côte de Sprimont F. Schleck the 2nd favorite attacked
At Côte des Forges the penultimate climb these were the existent gaps Valverde’s group --> 1’00 Schleck’s group --> 30’’ Evans
Dekker who was making a very tactical race decide to attack! Pineau followed him.
Di Luca who was very still since the begining decided to go after them!
In the downhill he formed a strong group with Kirchen, Voigt and Dekker
Seconds later Valverde joined them
Still a group remained at the front in the aproach to Chemin de la Lemmetrie featuring F.Schleck, Evans, Popovych and Nocentini. They had about 50’’ when the ascent began.
At Chemin de la Lemmetrie Schleck waited no more and left the group!
Di Luca did the same back in his group!
He was really strong! He passed right through all the escapees and went downhiling after Schleck.
There were only a few seconds between them. He was giving it all and was aproaching the luxembourguese! Di Luca could see him right after the corner!
But even all his strengths werent enough to catch the elder Schleck. The CSC rider was on a great day!
Di Luca ended the day exausted! But all the team was happy with his performance! The sponsors called to congratulate us. At last a good day for us in Belgium!

Yeah, you lost only because Schleck is dopped
Of course we could't say the same that thing about Di Luca cause this is 'LA MSS - This Time Without the Dope'

Great L-B-L! But Evans... WTF?!Shock
as he is a good downhiller he took advantage of a descent and created a gap...
in the end he that was worth an unexpected 3rd place!!
Yeah, you lost only because Schleck is doppedPfft

No doubt about it alex but you and I both know that that is only the offical version.
Nevertheless I can assure Danilo was pretty much clean in this race
