Either you mean Barcelona, or they're going to Sicily

Maybe the Tour will be crossing the Pyrenees twice?

i think it must go over to spain, then back over to get out.
If you ask me a strange round. I know it's an clockwise year, but with the start in monaco with the alps on the doorstep, wouldn't it have made sense to get that way first.

They don't have to go over the Pyrenees not even once. Along the coast there's no mountains.

The Barcelona stages should be something like this I've heard, Perpignan-Barcelona and Barcelona-(some place in) Andora.

Vuelta, Worlds, Lombardia
we still have all that. After that you'll have a whole month to mull about the tour route then another 1.5 months to mull over the Giro and Vuelta routes.
So save that talk for when you're really gonna need it: after the end of the season
Cause you know the Tour of Hainan won't cut it for cycling fans during those months.

Could this be another bomb about to blow up?
The French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD) said it will be re-testing several blood samples taken during the Tour de France this July. According to the Associated Press, the lab found results of urine sample tests from several riders "inconclusive" based on initial testing in Lausanne.
"I have decided that we will retest – with blood testing – all those who showed up as suspicious during the urine samples," said Pierre Bordry of the AFLD to the AP. "When we did the urine samples of those athletes, we had a serious suspicion that there was CERA [third generation of the blood boosting, performance enhancing drug EPO - ed.].
"The laboratory could not say definitively. The same analysis will be done, but in the blood samples," he said."
Samples will be returned to France, where the tests will be conducted at the Chatenay-Malabry lab. The AFLD declined to name the cyclists who had produced the suspicious samples.
Bordry estimated that the additional testing would take nor more than 10 or 15 days, which means results could be available as soon as before or during the World Championships in Italy.

I read that too, like one or two weeks ago. It was said that it wouldn't lead to sanctions, but that WADA/WADever would get the results to target the concerned riders a little more. |

If you're referring to the Armstrong case, it was l'Equipe who was to blame (or to congratulate), since the lab only showed them coded ID. They then investigated at the UCI office, pretending they were writing a paper about the medicines Armstrong was allowed to use during the 199 TDF. So the UCI guys showed them the antidoping tests certificates (after erasing all mentions of the authorised medicines...) with the ID used during the controls, which were also on the lab papers.
L'Equipe only had to match both the informations then. |

I just read it tonight. I KNEW something like this would happen. I just KNEW they would do it. I bet you a couple big names go down.
