A good finish from Partridge to finish what has been a disappointing time for us in Australia Wink

Onwards and upwards.......

Read the reports for this entire race tonight and it was very entertaining. Good job roturn!

Congrats on winning Heine! Flugel was sharp and finished it with a very strong burst up Willunga, which is the proper way to win this tour.

A personal highlight was seeing that my favourite Mongolian, Daspuntsag, clearly hasn't forgotten how to pick successful breakaways. He really has a special talent for that stuff.

Just finished reading the reports from Down Under, great stuff Roturn, i like your reports very much, especially how you cover closing moments from different angles, so we know what is going on! Smile

Congrats Heine, what a start into the season for you, expected promotion campaign started well. Hugo Boss also with very strong race, congrats to all the successful managers.

Also very good AI i would say, only with that typical criterium stuff. Pfft
I'll be back

Stage 1: Vanoverschelde actually winning something is quite unexpected. Impey very well placed but then boxed in, but a somewhat promising start.

Stage 2: A crucial stage for Imnpey so 5th is quite disappointing, bonus seconds really would have been welcome here. Tough competition of course, with Reimer and Kump also well suited to the terrain.

Stage 3: Last year Impey had benefit of high GC position and rode well. No bonus seconds this year so no high GC and no good performance. Craven at least justifies decision to pick him alongside Impey somewhat, but time loss makes this look unlikely to be a lucrative race at this stage. Pleased to see Caruso win as an ex-Wiggle/Good Energy rider.

Stage 4: Stage win chance to salvage the race? Seemed too far back, then perfectly placed, but then just not strong enough. 3rd is at least something, damn that Reimer/Kump combination! Pfft

Stage 5: Ah, no breakaway presence so no featuring at all today. Not a fan of Flugel's NC jersey! Pfft

Stage 6: What Stage 6?

All in all some nice close battles in the race in general. Nothing to shout about for the Africans though!
