Devolder in Belgium! Boonen second...again!!
further evidence that Boonen is crap and the most over-rated rider in the peleton (sorry, i just don't like him )
I am not eather he's fan..but still what a heck is going on this guy. Looks like promising superstar isn't that promising..or just Tom having very bad season.
But hey..for me best cycling age is 28-32.
I personally like Boonen, but the poor guy is having a bad form since the world championships 2 years ago he gets weaker and weaker, in the last years TdF if I remember well he didn't win a stage.
He went to the Dauphine to make resistance to be able to pass the TdF mountains and take the green jersey to Paris but if he can't sprint as 2 years ago how can he get the green jersey?
I really feel sorry for him, I hope he'll have a better tour this year even if his form is pretty bad. |

yes it's all about is attidude...next new "attidude superstar" for me is Ricco.
Boonen 2-nd. isnt bad thrue. I don't wanna sound like Ruben after Milano-San Remo ,who sayd Zabel 6.th place was sucks.. (he just rolled over the line in 6.th place..because he wated Petacchi who messed up the sprint). |

Boonen couldn't win any of the classics because he was sick.
In P-R he had stomach problems and that's why he couldn't win.
But O'Gready was in, excellent form too.
And besides it isn't bad to lose from devolder, devolder is a very good rider.

I dont think the Finish results have been mentioned:
Matti Pajari won the RR
Matti Helminen won the TT
https://en.wikiped...mpionships will contain all the champions when completed.

no, he's finnish. I've seen him on PPDB. considering his stats he's most likely a track rider (bad climber, good at sprints and time trials)

I see. suppose it's only natural when there are so many countries close together.

It was in Wales in 2004 and 2005. Maybe itll be good for Geraint's chances? Beverley may return for 2008 I guess.

Well, Sunday is the day of the British RR Championships and a hilly course may well favour David Millar. Other riders include last year's champ Hamish Haynes. Qinghai Lake runner up, Daniel Lloyd. Jeremy Hunt, Russel Downing, Dean Downing and of course, Geraint Thomas will also be riding.
It doesnt look like Cavendish or Hammond will be though.

What are you complaining about. You have no idea how far i'd have to go to see the US Nationals. ( i'll give you a hint, about 800 miles farther than the riders covered in the TdF this year) |
