Ok well since I've been proved wrong, I'll make myself sound as correct as possible.
Obviously they took betablockers before races to get their bpm down and then took drugs to raise their bpm when racing.
I maintain that it is impossible to cycle with only 30bpm. Resting heart rate of 30bpm, you might get by, but when performing an activity it is not possible for 30bpm to get the necessary oxygen to your muscles.

30bpm..you mean 30 beat per. minut?
This isnt normal..normal is 60 beat.
Those 30 beat guys are dead, sleeping or zombies |

those bpm are resting, yes.
but why the hell would you want to raise your bpm??? it's the opposite. even getting nervous is bad because your bpm raises and you spend more energy. |

Raising you bpm means you pump more blood around your body each minute. Blood carries oxygen. The more oxygen you can get to your muscles, the better they work and can work for longer without producing lactic acid.
Lowering bpm means less oxygen is going to the working muscles and they don't have enough oxygen to work properly, then start to produce lactic acid. Which we all know, affects performance, badly.
Beta-blockers are good for activities that require concentration and little or no physical movement. An archer would use beta-blockers to gain concentrationand the lack of oxygen getting to their muscles wouldn't really affect them that much as it's not as much of a physical activity as cycling, they just need the beta-blockers to keep steady arms and keep focus/concentration. Cyclists don't need beta-blockers, it would decrease their level of performance, due to the lack of oxygen getting to working muscles.

yes because if the body does not get enough oxygen our bodies create aneasthetic Respiration which is something to do with red or white blood cells, raising bpm is important

Red blood cells are the cells that contain haemaglobin and can carry oxygen around the body
Raising bpm is important, but it's even more important to keep it between 60% and 80% of your maximum heart rate. Go over 80% and your body starts to work anaerobically (without enough oxygen) and lactic acid is produced.
You can get away with slightly less than 60% of your maximum heart rate, but up to a point. If it gets too low then again your body will start working anaerobically.

Getting your resting heart beat lower is a good thing. It means your cardiac muscle (heart) contracts more powerfully, thus you get the same amount of blood around as when your heart beat was lower. It also means you are more efficient
It does not mean you get less oxygen. You get exactly the same
Havinf a lower resting heart rate means you have more room to work with, as the same increase in heart rate as somebody with a higher one keeps you in a lower working threshold (aerobic OR anaerobic)
Miguel Indurain had a resting heart rate of 29 beats per minute.

Yes but originally Rin said that 30bpm working heart rate was normal, not resting heart rate.
If you look, the original point was that Crue said it was unrealistic that in the screens all the cyclists were working at 30bpm (working not resting), Rin then said that that was realistic, I disagreed and now well, now I'm saying this
If you see the first post of this page I did conceed that 30bpm resting heart rate is possible but not working heart rate, which is what Rin said was realistic
EDIT: although now I've actually checked I can't see anywhere on the screens where it says any of the riders are riding at 30bpm, so I don't know where Crue was looking

I think it´s clear that I meant the rest BPM
Never mind , not that my words of BPMs lead into a brawl
I hope that they will have a open bar and a demo , but no leaked screenshots |

They'll probably have a demo because they have to advertise for this new game and the consumers (us) would like to try it before we buy it, if we do so. But I don't know when they'll release the demo |

They simply have to release a demo.
Everything else would be stupid.

Improved for you
Anyway
@Rin: I know what you mean - 30 is a better resting heart rate than 100, but when you are doing an activity such as cycling, even taking it easy, your probably going to be closer to 100

By the way : the 29 and so on is the Speed , not the BPM , the BPM is there where the heart is(@CrueTrue) |

Rin just told me that there's a "ask all you want" to the game producers-session right now at the Crimson Cow forum:

The result of the Q&A with Georg Hach -> Producer of Crimson Cow
Q: Demo?
A: Yes , but we don´t know if we could release the demo before the release
Q: Multiplayer?
A: This question is still open , we are on it , but I don´t want to make promises we can´t keep
Q: Stage Editor -> Is it like a click and drop system like at strategy games or like the old PCM stage editors?
A: The editor will be easy to handle , more deepness will be there , thank of the open datas
Q: Developer : It´s rumoured that Cesar Valencia (Old Dinamic Multimedia member -> EuroTour Cycling) works on the game , will be Freedom Factory Studios (there are some Dinamic Multimedia members) make the game?
A: No comment
(My opinion : They make it , would bet for that)
Q: Rider stats , will be only 6-7 stats there?
A: I want not to say something about the stats now , first there is the question of balancing , extra stats would be definetly hidden , we want "that that we make , we make it stable" , when we would have 30 stats on our first game , we wouldn´t fair that
Q: The light circumstances aren´t soo good (riders are glowing like a neon pipe)
A: It´s a graphical feature , you can switch-off the feature
Q: Release?
A: Before the Tour de France , the game will be released in the UK , Germany , France and the scandinavian countries , actual the release date is the 20th of June
Q: Beta test with community members?
A: Yes , it comes very soon
Q: Trainings Routines , is that such a thing like a training schedule?
A: Yes
Q: Race tactics , could I make a tactic and simulate the stages?
A: It´s under testing and balancing , more to that later
Q: Demo , could we see only the 3D-race or could we have a look at the manager part?
A: This question is open
Q: To the rider models -> are they diffrent from the 1st pictures?
A: Yes they are diffrent , but I don´t know if the models from the 1st pictures where already the 1st riders or only the pre-stage of modeling , could be both
Q: Are there more "town models" or are they the same , I liked the town of the game pictures
A: The towns are to somethings simular , but on some special stages , they would have special notes
Q: What a data format will the game have?
A: At the moment I couldn´t say something to that , but in a few days , someone would say something to that
Q: On the screenshots , you could see 4 lines , are there only 5 steps to decide how quick the rider rides?
A: The effort is stepless , the lines are only for the orientation
Q: Will it be possible to buy the rider out of contracts , swap or borrow?
A: Buy out the rider of contracts will be possible , swap or borrow aren´t known because it´s not final
Q: Will be there a feature that the AI of the other teams will choose riders for the King of the Mountain jersey?
A: The AI is our greatest not completed task , no infos there in the next days
Q: Commentary?
A: Not this year
Q: Will it be possible that after the race you can watch a replay or highlights of the stage?
A: Yes , if we can make it before the release
Q: Day form?
A: This question is open , because of balancing
Q: Are there some thoughts of releasing the game later than 20th of June? 4 weeks aren´t so much when we see what you have to do
I think the most people would like to have a stable game without many bugs
A: Product quality will override , it should have not much bugs
But if there should be a game feature added 2-3 weeks after the release , we would release it later , thats my opinion , decide that , that do other people
Q: How is the effort system? Is it 1. 100% = 650 watt , 2. 100% = maximum heart frequence or 3. maximum speed?
A: It´s regularing Effort / Energy
Q: How do they fall? At PCM that looked very weird , do you made it better?
A: Thats under construction
Q: Do the riders rider through other riders?
A: Yes
Q: Licenses?
A: Editor!
Q: If we are simulating with x512 during the race , could we watch at the peloton?
A: Yes
Q: Mass falls?
A: Actual not (under construction) |

so basically it was "ask whatever you want....except that....and that....and this....and basically anything that has something to do with the game. other than that, ask away" |
