I just find it slightly annoying that I am the guy who 'only thinks GC-teams matter' when thats not true. It's the same as I if say the only thing you cared about was Sagan - it's not far from the truth, but its still a shitty argument. And if I repeat that over and over. You know where I am going?
But whatever. Every fan has different things they look out for in race, I wan't good racing above all, but the GC-stages and the GC itself (and the teams) are instrumental to deciding whether its a meh, ok or good Tour, if its something to remember. At least when we look back at it 10 years from now |

Å tybar announced, that he wont ride the Tour after the discussion with team management. He says he wont have the room to do what he would and could do, because of already two leaders there in Kittel and D.Martin.
He will focus on NC and Rio according to his words, but if he will ride Vuelta or rather more classics is still a question...

It would not help anything. When everything comes to all, must Quintana himself win and he can not, because Froome is best overall and much better than all other in the world the first two weeks.
I see also Landa better helper than Valverde + Henao, Poels, Thomas etc.
1: Froome
2: Quintana
3: ?
Team Sky have best rider and team. If you can accept that, we can have a nice debate over who is third best. I votes on Aru.
You can maybe predict that contador won't be in top 10? And quintana and froome are much better thanks him... |

I never said that Contadope (or Contador as he is called now) do not come in the top 10? Of course he does, maybe a 4-5 space, as all the other times since 2009, he's just not better on today's doping. If there were the same doping control as in 2009, he'd had a chance to second place, because doping has a crazy effect on him!

You are underestimating inhuman Froome...
Simply impossible to beat in his best form. Like Novak Djokovic, Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps etc or from bike world Miguel Indurain and Lance Armstrong.

don´t forget Benedetti...
Buchmann & Voss also shown some aggressiveness...
I guess Bora will be in the breakaways when it really mattes, great attacking riders they have...if there´s a bed I would say 1 stage for Bora
Bennett also constant Top10 sprint material, so why would that team be uninspiring?
In other terms: Lampre with a very surprising team: Costa & Meintjes as captains (not unexpected)...then a Balkan block with Durasek, Pibernik & Polanc which I love to see, Mori & Cimolai as only italians and Arashiro & Grmay to spice the mix up even more
This tour could go all away from a quiet and calm to a fan´s favourite for Lampre...

I know that I'm baiting on Arberg and his broken english, but are we sure that Froome is gonna put up more than 2 minutes on Ventoux and that 40 km TT? Because if not, I can't see why Quintana couldn't gain that time back in those 4 stages of last week knowing Froome's tendency to fade in 3rd week. And don't forget stage 15 which just doesn't suit Froome at all. |

Etixx team for TdF:
Jalaphilippe
Kittel
D.Martin
T.Martin
J.Vermote
I.Keisse
A.M.Richeze
F.Sabatini
P.Vakoc
Pleasantly surprised about Vakoc being included. Could wreak havoc on few stages like Stage 2 for example! |

so this is human Froome?
Spoiler wasn't that sure about posting this, but then I saw the URL, InnocentBewitchedKiwi I might just be posting this for the url alone XD
might be a first for me in years, but I literally couldn't care less about the tour, I can't think of any rider right know that I would favor winning either GC or points. had the same at the Giro but the racing was exiting, which is what I'm hoping for in the Tour but since it's the tour, it probably won't. personally I'm thinking about he's going to be caught for dope on the second rest day, I kinda hope it's a GC Big five personally, don't care which. Love me some drama

I doubt Cookson and the UCI would allow one of the big boys to get pinged for a doping during the Tour, they need to keep the perception going that cycling is cleaner now than it ever was so if anyone gets busted it will be a small fish, I'm willing to bet all the Tour tests will come back "clean"

So no Terpstra and Stybar? Damn, but they would probably have been demoted to helpers anyways. And not Trentin either - seems its all in for Kittel.. Sadly so. |

Trentin did race the Giro so no real surprise that he isn't going, Stybar decided it wasn't worth it which was a smart move by him in my opinion. Also I wouldn't say it's all in for Kittel when they are taking Alaphilippe and Dan Martin, also having Vakoc and T.Martin in the team means they will be active on non Kittel friendly days

Had the route been different, I think Trentin and Styby woulda been there, but when the sprint finishes are this easy, its no wonder the team looks like this. I think Vakoc is gonna be a workhorse for Martin + Balaphillabert, they only have him when it gets hilly and mountainous and I would be surprised to see Tony Martin win a stage here. |
