That's something I've thought of as well... The very first be a pro career I started I got to 72-74 or so acceleration, so I figured I could as well focus more on hills than I did on that in my 2nd go. Then "capped" at 68.
How do you think a stage rider with focus on time trial and puncher his entire career would turn out? That's my latest theorycraft. |

My theory is that whichever way you train, you'll end up close to your max values on everything. The difference is how you get there and therefore how fast you get there coz if you start with stage race training you won't get many wins at first, so you won't get the bonuses and you won't progress as fast. |
