It's easy to ask for a team to play with a certain intensity all four quarters, but to be honest I only remember a few instances all last year where that was the case. Wink

Peyton Manning has done it! He now has 510 career TD passes which overtakes Brett Favre (508) for the top spot all time. Dan Marino is 3rd at 420.

Can anyone ever pass Peyton, who is not even done and may reach 600 before the end of his career?

Has anyone noticed that it's a really weak year for kickers?

The length of his career is insane. He's a grea QB but i doubt anyone saw this consistency and longevity when he first appeared.
But of course we all know Wilson is going to top him Pfft

Only for Detroit & Cincinnati really. Maybe Jacksonville also. Miami had 2 missed yesterday, and Baltimore has been missing some.

New England, Dallas and Arizona all have a strong kicking game. I have noticed the younger kickers are the ones screwing up alot

Yes, every week... The Curse of Jason Hanson.

Still in shock that the Lions pulled off the comeback. I gave up on them when Stafford threw the pick when they were down 20-10. Good thing I kept it on in the background.

The 5-2 start is great but isn't nothing new. Now they have to finish it off for a change. I'm still waiting to celebrate my first Lions playoff win. Hasn't happened in my lifetime. Sad

WEEK 8 NFL JDOG POWER RANKINGS

32. Oakland Raiders (0-6) (-1)
-- They kept a good fight with Arizona, for awhile. The team then went back to sloppy play, even though QB D. Carr continues to improve. There is hope this week, as they play Cleveland, who lost to the only other winless team that week in Jacksonville.

31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-5) (-1)
-- A bye week for the Bucs, who look to repeat the performance they had a few weeks ago. They play Minnesota, who is as good of a chance they have to win as it gets.

30. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5) (+2)
-- They looked like a different team this week. The defense was stellar, Bortles was advancing the ball, and they took down Cleveland. They play Miami this week, who is strong against the run, forcing young Bortles to throw more.

29. Tennessee Titans (2-5) (-4)
-- They led a majority of the game against Washington, until they made a QB change. McCoy made Tennessee look silly on defense, and they need to shape up this week in a big divisional game with Houston.

28. Minnesota Vikings (2-5) (-2)
-- Teddy Bridgewater almost saved the day again, but Buffalo retaliated with just a minute left to beat Minnesota. This is a solid ream with Bridgewater at the helm, and Minnesota should be able to prove what they are capable of this week. If they still had AP, this should be a 4-3 team.

27. New York Jets (1-6) (/)
-- No movement from the Jets this week, who almost pulled off the big upset. However, they should have won anyway. They are the first team with 200+ rushing yards and no turnovers to lose a game. Field goal after field goal isn't enough.

26. Washington Redskins (2-5) (+2)
-- Colt McCoy looked good. He will be the starter unless RG3 is ready to go. They play a tough game in Dallas this week, so the QB situation shouldn't even matter. This could be considered a must win for WAS.

25. New Orleans Saints (2-4) (-1)
-- What happened to this team? 2-4 should be 4-2 according to experts at the beginning of the year. They had a good edge on Detroit too, but they blew it! It's only going to get tougher from here, and the playoff hopes are looking dimmer every week.

24. St. Louis Rams (2-4) (+5)
-- Upset of the week. Rams special teams leads them to a win against Seattle. Of course, this would be more impressive on the road, but nonetheless they beat the defending champs, shutting up haters for now. If they can beat the Chiefs this week, the Rams will have believers.

23. Atlanta Falcons (2-5) (/)
-- Looked sloppy against Baltimore this week, and Matt Ryan wasn't shining like the first few weeks. All hope is not lost yet, as Carolina leads the division only a handful of games ahead. 2nd place at 2-5 is a blessing.

22. Chicago Bears (3-4) (-2)
-- The defense could not stop Miami this week. The offense could not move the ball either. They need to get Forte involved more, and they also need to get a win in New England this week, something that rarely happens for visitors.

21. Cleveland Browns (3-3) (-6)
-- Remember last week when I said this team is for real? I am having second thoughts after the Hoyer performance this week. They did not get star players the ball, and the defense looked lost. They can't afford to lose to another winless team in Oakland this week.

20. Miami Dolphins (3-3) (+2)
-- Another solid game from Miami, making it the 3rd in a row. Tannehill has improved more, especially with his running game. The 6th ranked defense also is on a roll. If they can knock off Jacksonville and San Diego the next 2 weeks, they just need to take care of the division games.

19. Buffalo Bills (4-3) (/)
-- Squeezed out a win against Minnesota, this team is still under the radar, but not going down the list. A division game against the Jets this week could get them a share of the division lead if NE loses, and who thought anyone would be saying that at the halfway point?

18. Houston Texans (3-4) (-2)
-- Might be taking the title of most inconsistent team in the AFC away from Miami. They looked very strong in the first 1 3/4 quarters of there game, then let Pittsburgh dominate. They have to get back on track against Tennessee.

17. New York Giants (3-4) (/)
-- Stalled at 17 again after a tough outing at Dallas. They showed that they can keep up with the best, but they can't beat the best. They will take a much needed bye this week, very much in the hunt.

16. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3) (+5)
-- Another inconsistent squad, who can dominate Houston & Carolina, but can't handle Tampa Bay or Cleveland. You never know which Pitt team you are going to get, and they will need to bring the good one against Indy next week.

15. Carolina Panthers (3-3-1) (-1)
-- They have a .500 record so far, and they are having alot of trouble beating teams better than them. It would be impressive if they could beat the defending champs this week, but not as impressive as it would have seemed a few weeks ago.

14. Kansas City Chiefs (3-3) (+4)
-- A slow start is now a fast roll. This team is looking hot right now, beating New England, Miami, and San Diego the last fee weeks. A win over St. Louis, who beat Seattle last week, would look very good for them this week.

13. Baltimore Ravens (4-3) (-1)
-- Tough divisional matchup coming this week in what is a wide open division. All 4 teams are just a game apart, making every game crucial. Flacco and Forsett need to keep having strong games, and they need to keep getting Owen Daniels involved.

12. San Francisco 49ers (4-3) (-3)
-- Is Denver just that good? Maybe, but San Francisco had many errors this week. They have a bye week, with 2 of their wins against teams that have only lost to them. This team is still the real deal, but in a tough division, they need to keep winning.

11. Detroit Lions (5-2) (/)
-- Detroit came back to beat New Orleans this week, keeping them right with Green Bay. With a few more wins, its safe to say they will make the playoffs, but they really want that division crown this year.

10. Cincinnati Bengals (3-2-1) (-2)
-- Slacking off the past few weeks. At one point this team was 3-0, and now they haven't won in 3 games. If they lose against Baltimore this week, they could find themselves in a little but of trouble.

9. Seattle Seahawks (3-3) (-3)
-- Continuing the downfall, they were #1 a few weeks ago. Since then, they have been dropping. Losing to Dallas wasn't bad, but St. Louis? A team this good should not be tricked by a few good special teams plays.

8. New England Patriots (5-2) (+2)
-- They escaped the Jets in a close one, so I expect the same thing that happened last time they had a bad game, a huge win. The Patriots look to continue rolling with the division lead.

7. Green Bay Packers (5-2) (+6)
-- The biggest jumper this week, this team looks scary good right now. After the Rodgers last second win in Miami, he continued the roll destroying Carolina's defense. The WR's are looking very good, and the defense is good.

6. San Diego Chargers (5-2) (-4)
-- Close game against KC. Unfortunately, they lost, but this team is still looking strong. Rivers is at the top of his game, and a huge game is coming Thursday night against the best in the league.

5. Indianapolis Colts (5-2) (+2)
-- Is there anything Andrew Luck can't do? This team is on a roll right now, and they play Pittsburgh this week, who has been shaky. The Colts could be on their way to another 11 win season.

4. Arizona Cardinals (5-1) (+1)
-- The 4th best team in the league, and still, nobody is talking about these guys. This team is very good, and can prove that this week against Philly, one of the few teams ranked higher than them. With no offensive players that really stand out, they certainly have been dominant.

3. Philadelphia Eagles (5-1) (/)
-- Neutral at #3 this week as they had a bye. Its looking like there division will be either them or Dallas, and Philly has the harder game this week. Philly needs to step up and prove what they are capable of.

2. Dallas Cowboys (6-1) (+2)
-- Dallas is 6-0 in their last 6 games. Tony Romo and Demarco Murray are both light out, and Dez Bryant is playing very well. The defense is also good despite injuries and trades, this team isn't going 8-8 this year.

1. Denver Broncos (5-1) (/)
-- The new America's team, one ahead of the old America's team. Peyton Manning cruised to a new NFL record this week, and the team is looking outstandingly better than last year on both sides of the ball. A good win against San Diego this week will secure them as the true #1

Actually surprised KC is 3-3. Thought they were better than that, but yeah, I dont expect a win for St. Louis.

Should hopefully be a close game, since technically they are geographical rivals with St. Louis.

Me too after the slow start they had, I thought it was a fluke against Miami, but thankfully, they are actually a good team Pfft

Austin, Texas. LA is the biggest without an NFL team.

Yes, Louisville is next. The main reason is the dominance of college sports in the areas Wink

Wasn't able to find that out actually.

[Update From CBS Sports] According to former teammate Michael Robinson, Marshawn Lynch wanted a new contract and since he didn’t get it, he started planning to move away from the Seahawks.

Still going to cost Oakland a hefty price. You'd expect some sort of high draft pick combined with financial compensation... Luckily with Wilson the Seahawks can focus on the pass and know it is a very strong option
