Nibali - Brave rider who goes for every chance he has in a race
Pinot - stupidly bad on a downhill, but an aggressiv rider
Aru - Young rider with plenty of confidence in himself to try and attack
Contador - A cloude hangs over him from 2010 beef case, but the man knows how to open a race and fights to the very end to win.
De Marchi - Always on the lookout for a win even though he knows he most likely won't be the strongest in the breakaway
Jens Voigt - It's always 100% with him
This was only a small sample of some of the riders i enjoy watching.
There will always be riders that are less interesting for different fan groups allow me to dislike Navadauskas and again, allow me to think him and his team is boring.
The reaction i got from some people in here, because i posted a comment that didn't fall into their way of thinking suprises me. Surely one should have the right to express his discomfort with a certain rider or team if one feels like it and not risk getting on the hate train from the whole community.
You seem to think attacking is exciting, but you call Garmin boring after they attack 4 times, 3 in the final 15 km.
They can't leave the tour with no results so ofc. they tried something, but it doesn't change my opinion about them. I haven't seen them make any efforts in this race really, besides Bauers mission impossible and their win today.
Their main goal for this Tour fell on Talansky's shoulders. He crashed out and Garmin improvised very well. Stage win, numerous breakaways and attacks, Top 5 stage finishes and all that with 7 riders, their 2 best gone. Its not like their team was filled with potential stage winners like Tinkoff.
Do you find BMC, Lampre, Lotto, Belkin, Trek, Cofidis, Orica, IAM, NetAPP or Bretagne, boring too?
I like most of those teams. I think Belkin is sort of boring as well, when they dont have Kelderman, Nordhaug (or Vanmarcke in cobble classic) in their team - Altough i do respect Mollema's fighting spirit.
As the poster above wrote, we clearly aren't gonna agree on this topic. Afterall its very individual what riders and teams one likes.
I would like to point out before i tap of, that i find rider like Slagter and Martin very entertaining. Slagter was great in the spring season but haven't been impressive at all in the Tour and Martin was getting up there during the spring season, unfortunatly crashing on the TTT in the Giro where i had high hopes for him
But the rest of Garmin is boring in my opinion, and thats just the way i feel about it
Dusen has indeed the freedom to express his opinion here, but eveyone else here has the same freedom to criticise his opinion if they don't disagree with him.
When you state an opinion that many people disagree with, you can expect a lot people reacting on your comments.
apperantly, Sagan himself was the one that caused the crash. had a feeling like he did because a Belkin guy kinda shoke his fist towards him (however could also be because he was glad that it was within the final 3 k)
I can't remember a recent time when Sagan crashed, nevererless caused a crash himself. I'm actually surprised that he crashed today
I can't believe the arguments are still going on.. i've already fell asleep lol.
