Bouhanni must be pissed.. There is no way that he is staying on FDJ.
Bouhanni got Giro, Demare gets Tour, what's so unclear about it. There's no reason to take both of these guys, especially considering that Bouhanni isn't that type of sprinter who could work in a lead-out.
There is nothing unclear or whatever about it, Bouhanni just wants to ride the Tour which is pretty simple. As a result of that he probably wont stay. As you pointed out, Bouhanni isnt the kinda guy that leads out, so how about next year come the Tour? Im pretty sure that he isnt a FDJ-rider next year. |

If Bouhanni was going to the Toue the plan was to do leadouts for Demare while Bouhanni could go by himself and try in sprints. At least what Madiot said month ago.
I bet Demare hated that, if Bouhanni beats him without team support it'd be awkward and didn't want him in the team at all.

Maybe the team already accepted the fact that Bouhanni won't be driving on the team next year, and that's the reason they decided not to bring him on the Tour team. Honestly I think it's a good idea not to have him driving the Tour. I don't think it would work out with both him and Demare. I like Bouhanni as a rider, he's really agressive in the sprint + his personality is fun to follow.
Having Demare and Bouhanni would be like having Greipel and Cavendish back in the HTC Colombia days. It just won't work.
Present:
Tinkoff-Saxo - AG2R - Colombian riders
Past:
Francisco Mancebo - Illes balears - Carlos Sastre - Kelme - Robbie McEwen

That reminds me of the Lotto teams in 2006-2008 that couldnt help Evans past a speedbump. Thats pretty tough for VdB. |

It's a squad built around Griepel and stage wins which makes sense, VDB can go top 10 but can't win so they are just playing to there strengths

At least De Clercq can be of help to Jurgen VDB. Also Hansen can survive some speedbumps, along with Gallopin, I reckon
But Jurgen can get a top 5 on his own, if he needs to. |

No Steegmans, that's kinda surprising because he had some monstrous leadouts in Turkey. Very happy for Jan |

Of course, thats the odds when you are riding on a sprinter team and Im fully aware of that. He can possibly go for a 5-7 overall all by himself, but he will be completely isolated in the mountains. Like, Contador isolated |

Personally i have big hopes for Nibali getting top 3, might even challenge Froome and Contador.

6. Van Garderen
7. Rui Costa
8. Betancur
9. Fuglsang
10. Bardet
Yes, it is! So here's mine:
1: Chris Froome
2: Alberto Contador
3: Thibaut Pinot (according to Dan Frost(Sky) also)
4: Vincenzo Nibali
5: Alejandro Valverde
6: Andrew Talansky
7: Roman Kreuziger
8: Tejay Van Garderen
9: Bauke Mollema
10: Michal Kwiatkowski
Just outside the top 10 we will find riders like Romain Bardet, Rui Costa, Mikel Nieve, Pierre Rolland, Jurgen Van den Broeck, Tom Slagter, Jakob Fuglsang Joaquim Rodriguez and Richie Porte.

Any news about Garmin squad ? Will Acevedo ride ? Would be interesting duo with Talansky.
I bet Garmin will be the very last team to announce their roster, as always, possibly just 2 or 3 days before the Tour starts.
Acevedo will most likely ride. And it appears he will be a key helper for Talansky, since Danielson, Dennis and Slagter all seemed to be pretty much off from in Tour de Suisse and Hesjedal is intended to skip TdF for Vuelta.
My guess is that their roster will look like:
Talansky, Acevedo, Danielson, Dennis, Langeveld, Millar, Navardauskas, Slagter and Vansummeren.
Other possibilities:
- Martin- how is he after Giro crash? I guess the absence in any race in June suggest he won't rather participate in TdF, but who knows. He rode very little in the spring so TdF+Vuelta combo would be possible.
- Hesjedal- if Vaughters thinks Talansky can make a big inpact on GC, then Hesjedal's plans might be changed and he may unexpectedly ride TdF just as Danielson rode Giro last year.
- Bauer- rode TdF last year and his calendar this year suggests he might be in decent form for July.
- Howes- was a top30 level at Dauphine for the first couple of days before disappearing completely for the last stages. Still that's quite a bit more than Dennis showed in TdS.
- King- apart from Acevedo and maybe Cardoso, the best Garmin's climber in TdS. Earlier in the year he said he would be targetting simillar races to Talansky, so who knows?
Other would be quite a surprise, but sometimes Garmin makes a surprising moves, like taking Navardauskas to the 2011 TdF.
Talansky, Acevedo and Millar are 99% sure IMO, with the rest, you never know. |

I think that Frank will be the most surprising rider this year
Also think that Horner will have a good tour but will crash or will have a very bad day |

Slagter will be in the squad certainly, going for a stage-win, according to some Dutch sources from last month. Might be outdated, but I doubt he'll miss out on the squad.
