As teams and goals/calendars are now all ready, it's time for preview of the season. With so many interesting and good jumpers, it will be hard to say which names are the biggest favourites for winning Overall World Cup this year. The most hills in this years, 2013/2014 calendar are large and therefore we're going to start with large-hill specialists.

Large hill specialists

As it was expected, most of the users went with large-hill specialists. That , however, could mean big win and achievements at the end of the season or big fail, as that can also mean neglecting other disciplines and not being competetive at all in them. We can however group few guys who went with Large stat as their main. Some of them went basically "all-in", while others spread their points over the other disciplines, too. Here are the names:

A. Mujagic	J. Harden	T. Woods
J. Zoltan	A. Wargunnson	M. Šantić
S. Innauer	L. Brandstätter	R. Kruspe
PJ Levré	J. Johansson

These guys will all focus on final WC, as well as the Olympics and 4Hills. Most of them will however, due to low Normal hill stat, fail in some competitions named above. They can be called favourites for this season, but nothing is fixed and absolutely everything can be changed during the season, so we won't make any final-predictions.

Normal hill specialists

Not all guys decided to focus on Large hills this season. With exactly 10 WC competitions this year, Normal hill specialists are going to shine too. Of course, there are only few of them compared to the group above, but that's expected. Just as in every stat, some of the guys went "all-in" for it, while others tried to focus on it while leaving the space for good results on other type of hills too.

Only 4 of them compared to 12 guys above and _ guys below. The number of this type of jumpers says it all, but these guys are seriously going to make problems to all others, as 4 of them are likely going to share points on most of these Normal hills. Still, nothing is sure yet. Alot of chances for this guys in Olympics and WC competitions.

Flying hill specialists

Definitely the most interesting group of jumpers are flyers, mostly because they all went with high 1400-1500 and some even max. 1600 stat for this discipline. 9 flying competitions for them (including Team ones) and one very interesting, big fight for Flying Cup/Season finish to be expected. It's interesting to see that more guys went for Flying then for Normal hills, but that may pay off. Or may not, we'll have to wait.

As most of you may know, all Ski Jumping professional competitions brings some points to jumpers and in todays update, i'm gonna show you how it is working here. Most of these "rules" are the same as the ones in real life, so if you're following ski jumping - it will be easy for you to get, but if you're not doing so, just read it and there won't be any problems.

NOTE! #1: Basically all results from competitions below, just as the hill records over the season will have influence on your developement. I'll keep developement procedure secret before season finishes. More fun!

World Cup, Flying Cup, Olympics - All of these competitions are having the classic way of calculating the points and the table for it will be available below. Basically, there are points from 100 to 7 (1st to 24th) and that's it. Jumpers are going to get them each competition (Only on Flying Hills for Flying Cup and only on Olympics hills for Olympic events) and they're going to be calculated. Olympic games are probably the easiest part of this post, as the guys just have Qualification jump, 1st jump and 2nd jump and that's it. What they do there will be their final result. Pretty simple. Here is the table with full point system:

4th	---	50 points

4-Hills Tournament - 4-Hills tournament is a specific ski-jumping tournament, different from all others and not just because its held only in Germany and Austria and it's around New Year time, but because it has totally different point and ranking system. Point system is strange, but quite simple. All of your jumps (on 4 hills) are calculated and summed up at the end. So, for example, if you have 130,5 jump in first round and 129,5 jump in 2nd round on one hill and you win it, you won't get 100 points, but you'll get 260 points at the end of it. It's going like this for all 4 hills, where all the points are summed up at the end and we get final winner then.

But, this is not the only new thing in 4-Hills, as we do have K.O system. Simply, judged by result in Qualification, jumpers are sorted in pairs. So, for example, the winner gets in duel with 24th, 2nd gets in duel with 23rd from Qualifications and etc. It's not so important here (as it is in real life) as everyone will get throught the 1st round (in real life, only 30 jumpers out of 50 who participate in 1st round reach the 2nd one. However, there are only 24 of us here so all will reach 2nd round).



Team Cup - Team Cup will also, just as every competition above, bring you some points that are valuable for developement at the end of the season. There are only 6 teams here, so it's pretty easy. Firstly, 6 guys (one from each team) jumps and that closes first round of jumpings. 2nd, 3rd and 4th "block" of guys do the same thing and by that, 1st round will get finished. That repeats once again, all points gets summed up and we get final winner. This is the Team Cup points system we'll be using (it's also the one that's used in real life):
