When was Luis Leon Sanchez an alternate name for Lance Armstrong, the person we're discussing?

I dont like when retired riders or riders that have been caught doping then say they are not the only one in either the team or whatever race they were caught in. Its complete backstabbing and what we call 'not brothers'.
But at least it exposes them which is I guess something which is pretty much inevitable.

We weren't discussing Armstrong, he was a side point for the Sanchez discussion. |

Maybe you were, but I was discussing Armstrong. I never got involved in the LLS discussion and specifically quoted only the Armstrong part of his post

Isso, at the start the discussion was about LLS.

How freaking hard is it to understand that if I replied only to the phrases where someone explicitly talked about someone else, I am referring only to that someone else.
This is extremely basic.
If we're having a discussion about Andy Schleck, then halfway through I say "unlike Frank who bla bla bla" and you say "yes, but Frank has a green car", what would be your reaction if I chided you for saying Andy has a green car?

I'm going to get coffee and chalk this up to it being early in the morning

Actually for me its 9pm
Anyway, I am in no mood for a pointless argument. Either way this is not the thread for it. Im sure there is a thread for it somewhere.

You tell us. No Pro Tour team has been willing to sign such a talented rider. Yet many here deny he's shot anyone (to prolong the analogy), so there must be something that I'm missing. |

I really really really don't get why the 4 guys caught on wiretaps in Operación Galgo discussing their drugs and effects with Dr. Virú are still allowed to ride and nothing ever came of it.
One of them is even president of the riders' association. It blows my mind.
EDIT: Galgo or Grial? I always get those two mixed up

LLS is linked to Operacion Galgo, which mostly involved track and field athletes, via Dr Fuentes (again), whereas Operacion Grial was about more sports and involved more cyclists.

Nobody. It's a huge conspiracy against your favourite rider. He's innocent until proven guilty. Just like you shall keep doing the ostrich instead of merely using google or whatever search engine pleases you most... Jeebus...
Again, it's surely because there's nothing about him that he almost found himself without a team and ended up at one of the most dodgy team around. |

Exactly LLS is only linked to this doping thing. So why does he suffer having to drop out of the world tour because he is linked to something? There is no proof he did anything!!!
Belkin should be ashamed of themselves

But at least it exposes them which is I guess something which is pretty much inevitable.
Are you kidding me? I am baffled that anyone could possibly think that.

The other possibility being that they have more or better informations that you have and don't want to be compromised.
I suppose issoisso is more informed than me on the matter, and he certainly reads Spanish better than I, but when a rider is phone taped discussing the effects of X and Y drugs on him and others, it's certainly that he has nothing to do with it. Probably just a poorly chosen coded language for something unrelated...

We, the cycling community as a whole, should behave like actual mobsters. Period.
Or at least some regrettable people seem to think like this.

1- umm, is it impossible to get a discussion here without you all being angry
2- Regardless of whether people are Ostriches or not, doing the opposite, (false accusations) is probably more damaging to the sport, and I'm not saying Luis Sanchez isn't cheating, but if that's the case then well.. You get the idea.
3- Stop saying things are evidence when they aren't. Being dropped by the World Tour is nothing, talking about doping is an indicator, but not necessarily proof if he has an excuse, (and I mean a good one, not, marginal gains or something )
Only proof of doping is a raid or a test as far as I'm concerned.
4- There is no point in us discussing this anyway, we have to trust the UCI/WADA aren't corrupt and they are the only ones who can deal with it.
Now to wait for the inevitable slamming responses. |
