As i said 28th is the earliest i would open them up. It's the Holidays and i would have no chance to keep up with all of them, and i reckon a lot of people have lives.
I've been PM'd myself. Easy to chuck of an answer which i've already forgotten.

I can understand Jesleyh, on the other hand I would be very annoyed if I see 50 transfers posted within the first minutes the transfers open. It's kinda like in EPIC when custom riders were signed to teams before they were created..
To be honest, it's just annoying to follow the rules while others don't and lose that way.

I think having too many transfers for your team will actually be a problem. I would rather focus on getting talents that others may ignore than signing some bigname guy that everyone wants.
TMM- Have I missed something or is there info on the maximum rider wage bill?

The only rule i put in about transfer talk was not to do the discussions in Thread. All discussions should take place in PM, a d i have no issues with that. Equally i said no posting for sale lists or requests before the period opens.
I can understand people having some spare time putting out enquiries. If i had more time i might send a PM or two myself However if deals are already being agreed via PM then im not happy. I cant stop it and its not against the rules. Its only going to be their loss though. If anyone remembers or read the old thread they will see how SSJ lost out on heaps of money because he did not look at every offer.
Obviously i cannot read PMs and neither will i ban pre-agreements, just please don't, you'll loose out. And don't forget i have to confirm all deals in the end. If i think it is fishy or unsportsmanlike i have the power to stop the deal. Anything going up in the first hour or two is at serious risk of this happening.
There is your warning and update on that. Just be careful what you are doing. If anyone of you guys are looking to get into the Man-Game use this as some practice. There are no second chances there!

As much as I don't want to discuss trades before it opens, I really do feel I will be at a disadvantage when all the big pieces are moving right when it opens based on agreed deals.

@Ollfardh: Well tbh I haven't inquired anyone about any rider or sale, and I've only received one offer (not going to name it), so I'll just wait until the transfer period. But I'll probably be last int season 1 due to these stupid pre-agreements and dates and whatnot.

I'm not going to open transfer because a couple of people (guessing 4 people, won't name them yet) have decided to make deals already.
As i said it, whilst it is not against any rules it is not very sportsmanlike and the chances are they will loose out on potential cash/rider deals. Unless they have spoken to all 20 other managers equally the chances are they will have missed out. And i know several managers will not start discussions prior to the opening of the period.
I will also not open so close to Christmas. I have family arriving tomorrow who i havn't seen since February, the it's my birthday on tuesday, christmas with family on wednesday, more family thursday and friday. Earliest time I can run Transfers is the 28th as i have been repeatedly saying.
It will remain as the 28th for now, but i may well push it backwards depending on how busy i am. That is the time frame people should be working towards, anything else is fantasy.
Nothing wrong with looking at who you might be interested in. Nothing wrong with asking about potential availability.
It is not smart to already be making deals. Everyone should know how i can be in these games. I could easily make things harder if people like...

To me pre-agreed is unfair. Not giving people a fair opportunity because you are impatient (despite having the start time repeatedly mentioned as no earlier than the 28th and very possibly later, hey look it's there again!) is plain stupid.
SSJ2 lost out on literally Hundreds of Thousands of £ in the last MFS because he was impatient (and then the budgets were an awful lot smaller). This time the DB has been specifically closed up so every possible advantage is going to be key.
Good spending is going to decide a lot of results, and rushing into a deal now is idiotic and unfair against those who are not around because of the Holidays (why the start dates are after Christmas)
Anyone making a decision in the 1st hour is rushing. Not all of them are necessarily pre-made deals, but when there are people in various time zones and states of onlineness not looking at all your options is poor business.
Ok getting annoyed at his. As i've said:
Earliest start date 28th, AND NO EARLIER
Pre-agreements are not against the rules
I reserve the right to veto obviously unfair deals
Still happy to discuss this, but not sure what exactly is left to cover.
