Sergio Marinangeli is a guy chosen for me in the draft and he performs better than the team |

Good race by Van Niekerk, though a win og Kern gaining some time in the GC would be nice...

For all of Gadrets consistency i was expecting more UC points by now... Still hopefully some tougher stages will benefit the team and allow us to gain some more of them. GC still very healthy
Very healthy?
You've actually won it now, I think

It seems he has a big fan base here, if his name painted on the roads is anything to go by!!

Cartoon's Network with another great result. Satisfied with Valls attacking so far. Although we are missing the stage win, I am happy with the performances since the little "motivation"-talk. It seems it has done wonders. Let's just hope that the new found spirit of the team will carry over into the high mountains.

With such a strong climbers' team, I'm very disappointed.

In fairness Gadret has overachieved so far when compared to Amador and Neive, who where to other main style favorites.
Sprints are very open and the cobbles were as well. Just Gadret has been strong in all areas so far

Eijssen with bad luck, but 6th is still nice. And Tschopp staying with Gadret is nice too.

Nothing will solve this issue of obvious GC winner, right?

Idea for nex TotC: 21 Mountain stages, and nobody has more than 65 MO.

STAGE 11: Assisi - Montecatini Terme 253 KM's
Stage Favourites:
***Fenn(MCD) **Duque(CRL)
*Forster(AVI)
A flat stage on paper. But with a small lump 12 kilometres from the finish and the length we may be in for a surprise.
It took a long time for the break to establish, when it did it was made up of: van Poppel, Chainel, Leezer, Marlon Perez, Docker, Geslin, Dempster, Valls and Holohan.
With 24 kilometres to go Cardoso, Bodnar and Sieberg attack out of the peloton and join up with the break.
With 16 kilometres to go the break have only '36 over the peloton as Rohregger attacks and joins up with the men out front as we hit the small and steep final climb.
At the top of the climb only Cardoso, Bodnar and Rohregger are out front having dropped everyone else one the climb. Members of the original break had nothing left in the tank.
With 9 kilometres to go Aru falls, near the front, and causes a big crash. The GC men ease up and the front of the peloton is down to 25 riders.
As groups in the peloton slowly regroup following the crash Rohregger finds himself leading the trio of escapees into the sprint. He does not want to lead the better sprinters out and he therefore completely knocks off the pace....
The trio will fight it out.....
Bodnar is the first to launch his final effort and comes round the other two... Cardoso is the better sprinter here but has he lost out to the attack of Bodnar?
Cardoso takes the win. Win no.1 for Cartoon Network. It was a brave move from Bodnar but he was no match for the explosive Cardoso in the final.
Felline leads home the bunch and Gadret finishes 5th which shows it was a hard day in the saddle.
Keisse, Gaudin and Atapuma withdraw.

Gadret is becoming a joke
Don't think there's anything more to say about Aer Lingus..
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

We at Cartoon Network are immensly happy with the latest performances of our team, obviously topped with the stage win by André Cardoso. He has shown his class in the previous days and his unbroken, courageous spirit to take a stage win as well as to work for the team. With ease we noted, he has motivated our squad after a disappointing start. Also Rafael Valls has performed once again and thanks to his commitment to the team, Cardoso could get through to the end. The team, especially Cardoso and Valls, did a great job in the previous three days and we hope that the success of them will continue for future stages to come.

Well done Aru, screwing up everything... we would have won the stage otherwise. |
